     Your information is inaccurate. Wiki is not an authentic source. GNP PER CAPITA is is the ONLY measure for comparitive benchmarking. Who the heck is “photius”? Growth rate for 2008 is an anomoly due to various issues. If you need to look at growth rate look at 60 years. The Bharati “internal” poverty line.”Indian” poverty line is bogus. It is one fourth of the Pakistani Poverty line. The Bharati “poverty line’ is even below the Sub Saharan poverty line. We have to compare in Dollars only.

     The areas comprising Bharat have always had a higher literacy rate than the areas that comprise Pakistan today. The economic depression of the Muslims, neglect discrimination were the main reasons for the creation of Pakistan.

     In 1947 Pakistan had only one dilapidated university. Now it has 150. When the devanagri script was imposed in South Asia all Muslims became illiterate overnght. This was catastrophic. If you look at the literacy numbers in the 1940 or the 30s, the Western part of South Asia was illiterate. The literacy statistic is accurate number and we accept it.

     In the 40s he literacy rate was less than 10%. In the 60s it rose to 20%. In the 80s it was 50%. Now it is in the upper 60s. The literacy growth rate is high and since 1947 Pakistanis are getting literate at a higher rate than before. This 10 year plan calls for universal literacy within 10 years.

     The bottom line is that Bharat has most of the poor in the world and 75% of Bharatis live below the poverty line.

     Pakistan has better infrastructure, better roads, better airports, better cities and less poor.

    In the minds of all Pakistani politicians it means grabbing power by any means.

    If the so called prophets of democracy really beleived in democracy, they would have participated in the Local Body elections and fixed things.

    If they had believed in democracy the Senate is in session, and they would have passed some meaningful resoltuions in the senate.

    If demcoracy meant anything to these politicians, they would have called cabinet meetings and built consensus. Mr. Nazar Sharif did not even convene cabinet meetings. All decision were made by Abba jee and then enforced.

    During the time of nawaz Sharif, parliament met for 20 days many tiems without quorum.

    During the time of the corrupt PPP BB, no majore legislation was passed, the hadood ordinance was not revoked. They handed the list of Khalistani leaders and the insurrection in East Punjab ended.

    If one believes in democracy, then they should be working at the grass-root level.

    Why do we have garbage in the streets. Why do poeple not get togher and remove it? Why do we have iliteracy. Why dont villages come together and get their children educated?

    Why is sewer on the streets. Why dont all the young me in the area form a team and drill a ditch?

    Democracy is not about elections and politics. It is about people helping themselves.

In the present circumstances we are again dragging our sovereignty at stack for the external interest in the name of national interest, instead of our interest i.e. the interest of Pakistani people at large.

    The only way out of these crucial circumstances is the only way to empower the common Pakistani at grass route level i.e. the change of system. This change is inevitable for the prosperous Pakistan .As a citizen of this country I have try to provide an alternate socio-political system to empower the masses at grass route level for rapid industrial and agriculture development with transparency and accountability in the system. Along with basic guarantees for the creation of welfare state, where in public representative and institution shall be answerable and accountable to the masses.
