New York| Rupee News | July 20th, 2008: In a recent interview with the BBC, British Home Secretary Jack Smith made some interesting observations about the rapid spread of Islam in Europe.
According to Smith, around 50,000 Britishers are converting to Islam each year and since 2001, four lakh Britishers have converted to Islam. He said the Muslim population in Britain has reached 20 lakh and followers of Islam are now the second biggest population in Britain after Christians. He even suggested setting up an Islamic University in Britain given the overwhelming population of the Muslims in that country.

The momentum and intensity with which Islam is spreading in the West has puzzled the policy makers, religious scholars, researchers and media there. The conversions have especially gained unimaginable momentum after 9/11. Most of the researchers believe that the fast erosion of the religious and cultural values in the Western societies is pushing its people towards Islam that offers a more comprehensive, well-knit and value-oriented cultural, social and family structure.

According to a recent report in the prestigious Time magazine, hundreds of new mosques are coming up in the West and most of the European cities now get to hear Azan (call for prayer) five times a day. In Rome a grand mosque is coming up at a whopping cost of $3 crore for which the land has been donated by the local government.

According to Dr Mehmood Siddiqi Saidi, Director, European Muslim Minority Board, while as per a recent UN report the Muslim population in Europe is 21 million, in actual it could be around 50 million. As per the data available at islamicpopulation.com, in 2006 the Muslim population in Europe, including Russia, was around 50.70 million.

With the increase in Muslim population in Europe, the number of mosques and Islamic centers is also growing speedily. While in Britain there were only 13 mosques in 1963, at present there are 600 mosques and 1400 Islamic organizations in the country.

France, with a population of 60 lakh Muslims, has 1300 mosques and Islamic centers in addition to around 600 Islamic organizations. The Muslims in France have a 24-hour radio channel. The estimated population of Muslims in France would reach around 80 lakh during the next 15 years.
Italy has a population of 10 lakh Muslims with 450 mosques and Islamic centers. According to reputed Italian magazine The Journal, in next 200 years the European society would almost entirely accept Islam as the only religion.

Germany has a Muslim population of 40 lakh with 1400 mosques and Islamic centers. The Muslim population ration in Germany is around 4 per cent. In Canada the conversion rate to Islam has been almost 130 percent between 1991 and 2001. In Switzerland around 6000 Christians converted to Islam after 9/11.

According to San Diego University researcher Jan Wax, by 2020, out of every four persons in Europe, one would be a Muslim. The ratio of Muslim youth (between 45 and 50% of the Muslims) to EU youth is between 16 and 20%. In other words, in a few years Muslims will constitute 16 to 20% of the European workforce, and could therefore influence policies and decision-making.

Albania has proportionally the largest Muslim population in all of Europe, with the exception of Turkey, which is situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. According to the most recent census results, Albania’s Muslim population is estimated at 2.2 million, or 70% of the country’s total population. Although Albania was officially an atheist society during the Communist period, and all public expression of religious beliefs was banned, today most Albanians are practicing Muslims.

Following Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina has proportionally the second largest Muslim population in Europe, with 40% of Bosnians, or 1.5 million people, who practice Islam.
In Western Europe, France is followed by the Netherlands, which has over 945,000 Muslims, making up 5% of the population.

Concentrating on the commonalities between the Abrahamic Faiths. The Arian influences on Islam, the Muslim influences upon Martin Luther, Locke and Jefferson

A woman would throw garbage from the rooftop on the Prophet Muhammad every day in Mecca. One day when he noticed that no garbage was being thrown on him, he inquired about her, and discovered that she was sick. He prayed for her and gave her solace and comfort. She was so impressed, that she gave up her pagan rituals and converted to Islam.

During one of his trips, the people threw stones at him so much so that he was all bloodied. Upon his rescue by his supporters, he prohibited them from any action and requested God to forgiven them

An older Christian woman Khatija hired the young Mohamed for trade.She was so impressed by his integrity in conducting her business affairs so honestly and profitably that that she asked him to marry her. He remained faithful to her ’till her death. She was his companion, advisor, partners in life and one of the first converts to Islam.

While praying, his grandsons Hasan and Husain would climb on his back. He would never scold them or admonish them, instead he prolonged his prayer in while prostrating.

Muhammad was known by the pagans of Arabia as “ameen” the honest one, “sadiq” the truthful one, long before he received revelation and even afterwards. He was offered, money and kingship to give up his message of “one God”, but he refused and continued to preach the message of Abraham. These are the stories I grew up with. This is my image of my prophet. This is the image all Muslims think of when we think of our prophet.

I have tried to define Islam in Christian and non-religious terms. Michael Baigent, Elaine Pagels, The Gnostic Bible and the Naag Hamdi texts not withstanding, there is historical precedence in understand the message of Muhammad in the Christian context. This commonality will help us understand the message and therefore Islam and Muslims. UNDERSTANDING the genesis of the religion will help us understand each other and this will help us gain understanding of world events. Once we have understood Muhammad in the Christian context, then it is much easier to understand Jesus in the Muslim context. The founding fathers of America, the American Deists have already done that in many waysThe hordes are not coming. They have always been here. There is nothing to fear from Muslims who are like Unitarians or like Jefferson or Madison.Muslim tradition uses Peace be Upon Him (PBUH) every time we mention the name of Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Abraham or any of the other Biblical/Quranic prophets. I have left this out to make it more palatable to non-Muslim audiences

MY MUHAMMAD:

We can either demonize the other religion or work on building common ground. As Westernized Muslims, we can and should discuss the infallibilities of Muhammad the man. Muhammad was fortunate enough to be born in one of the power centers of an affluent Arabia which owed its prosperity to becoming the hub of trade and commerce. Affluent and powerful, he did not have to take on the entire Arabian peninsula and preach monotheism and a civl code of justice. He did not have to upset the equilibrium. He was part o fhte establishment and his tribe was all powerful. He like Abraham chose to eliminate idol worhip and clear the Kaaba of all idols. He was a man and not a God.

My research of his entire life shows me a MAN OF COMPASSION, INCLUSIVELY and MAGNANIMITY. This opinion is based on his entire life and teachings. I have so many stories that it would take volumes of paper to print. This image of Muhammad is also my core belief and my personal relationship with Muhammad the MAN. Muhammad’s life spans many decades. The religion was not based around his personality, but around the prophets of the Bible. He even called it “Deen e Ibrahimi” or the religion of Abraham. A cult would have died out in a year or so. It has now been 1400 years and the religion is growing. There must be something in the religion and the message.

Muhammad and Islam have faced defamation from the first day the declaration of the “shahadah” (submission to the will of God) was made. Muhammad’s entire life has been defined by many authors. The definitive works on the life of the prophet were written centuries ago and new ideas are but summaries of the books: These were Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat e Rasul Allah and Ibn Khatir’s Siratul nabi.

A new PBS documentary on Muhammad created by Alexander Kronemer who regularly writes on the interfaith site belief.com came out a couple of years ago. It should be available in the library and on PBS. It is based upon Karen Armstrong’s book titled “Muhammad.” She thinks of it as a gift to Muslims. She however needs to update her book on in light of the latest research on Banyu Quaraza. Karen Armstrong and Martin Lings are a few of the current authors that talk about Muhammad. I read Karen’s book ten years ago when it first came out.

MUHAMMAD IN THE CHRISTIAN CONTEXT:

Islam is “Hetrodox Christianity”…John Damascus

The status of Muhammad has to be understood in the context of Christian Dogma and Christian beliefs of “inerrancy”, “infallibility” “inspiration” and the liberal interpretation of the Gospels. The discussion of the status of Jesus Christ has always been a topic of discussion between Christians. In many ways the discussions of Jesus Christ and the theological differences between Islam and Christianity are essentially a discussion about the so called heresies of Arias and Eusebius of Caesarea that germinated in the city of Antioch. This has been prolifically elucidated by Thomas Jefferson in his “Jeffersen Bible”. Many churches have taken a liberal approach to the interpretation of the Bible and consider it inspired or infallible.

ARIANISM WITHIN THE FOLD OF ISLAM INFLUENCED LUTHER’S PROTESTANT REFORMATION AND THE RENAISSANCE: Historically, Arianism was a majority opinion among Christians, but this began to change when Emperor Constantine intervened on behalf of and Trinitarians. However Emperor Constantine in order to preserve the empire wanted to combine existing trinatirian concepts within Rome and married them to Christian beliefs. Arius, a Libyan by descent, was brought up at Antioch, a center of Christian learning. He became the Bishop of Nicomedia, took part (306) and was made presbyter of the church called “Baucalis,” at Alexandria. He opposed the Sabellians, who were committed to a view of the Trinity which denied all real distinctions in the Supreme.

The Council of Nicea in 325 headed by Emperor Constantine adopted the Nicean concept of Trinity, Arias was exiled and his promulgation “anethmized“.

Emperor Constantine reversed his opinion about the Arian and his “heresy”. He recalled Arian and his supporting bishops three years later (in 328). At the same time, Arius was recalled from exile.

Constantine’s sister and Eusebius worked on the emperor to obtain reinstatement for Arius, and they would have succeeded, if Arius hadn’t suddenly died – by poisoning. Arianism regained momentum and survived until the reigns of Roman emperors Gratian and Theodosius, at which time, St. Ambrose set to work stamping it out. However that was not the end Arianism.

Arianism survived until 381AD in the Western Roman Empire and then thrived in the Easter Roman empire and other areas until the 7th century. After that Arianism went underground. Evangelists sent to the Germanic peoples converted the Goths to Arianism. When the Germanic people entered the Roman empire they entered it as Arians and used this form of Christianity to differentiate themselves from the Romans. The Germanic peoples were Arians. Arianism did not die even then.

The flag of Arianism laws carried by “The Brethren of the Common Life”, who were a medieval lay group dedicated to Bible study and education. They were persecuted, fled their native homelands and were scattered all over Europe. They are by many account held responsible for the renaissance.

ISLAM’S INFLUENCE ON MARTIN LUTHER: Martin Luther’s schooling included the Latin school at Mansfeld, a year at a school in Magdeburg (run by the Brethren at Eisenach). In his 15th year, Luther made valued older friends and was influenced by Arian ideas. Luther’s ideas led to the Christian reformation. Here are some of the positive things said by Martin Luther about Muhammad and Islam:

From this book, accordingly, we see that the religion of the Turks or Muhammad is far more splendid in ceremonies—and, I might almost say, in customs—thanours, even including that of the religious or all the clerics. The modesty and simplic-ity of their food, clothing, dwellings, and everything else, as well as the fasts, pray-ers, and common gatherings of the people that this book reveals are nowhere seenamong us—or rather it is impossible for our people to be persuaded to them. Fur-thermore, which of our monks, …Martin Luther

In 1532 facing the threat of the Turkish invasion, the Emperor agreed to a truce with the Protestants in the Religious Peace of Nürnberg. Facing the Turkish invasion Luthers’s ideas changed. Bernard Shaw also had a lot of good things to say about Islam.

…the ‘Bull’ of Pope Innocent III causing the massacre of 20,000 men, women and children (Albigenses) in France and the nailing of Martin Luther’s 95 questions on the Church door in Germany, it stretches a long period in between. The European society passed through a massive reform during this time. The reform movement of Peter Waldo of France, John Wycliffe of England, Jan Hus of Bohemia (Czech), Girolamo Savonarola of Italy, Michael Servetus of Spain, Ulrich Zwingli of Switzerland, William Tyndale of England and hundred others must have influenced Bernard Shaw to lean heavily towards the fairness of early Islam – the Islam that Pophet Muhammad once preached.

SULAIMAN THE TURKISH CALIPH SUPPORTED THE CHRISTIAN REFORMATION

In addition to Suleriman, Charles was threatened by the pope, the king of France, and even some of his own princes! Suleriman, in opposing Charles V, helped the Protestants militarily and financially. God thus used the Moslem nation to provide opportunity for the Reformation to grow in Germany and in the rest of Europe.

RUMI INFLUENCED THE EUROPEAN RENAISSANCE, LUTHER & BEETHOVEN ETC.

Rumis influences: For Mevlana, a human being is made up of REASON ( knowledge, thought, conscience, maturity), LOVE ( emotions, poetry, music) and SPIRIT ( life, motion, whirling). It is very unlikely to find the three clamped to each other in theory and meaning in such a way in any other system. As a result, this approach created an ecolé, namely “Mevlana’s Whirling Dervishes”, and it has had great influence on people for centuries. Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus, one of the humanists of Renaissance in 16th century, Martin Luther and Sebastian Frank, who translated some of Mevlana’s poems, Rambrandt(artist-17th century), Beethoven (composer-18th century), Frederick Ruckert, Joseph von Hammer, Johann Volfgang von Goethe(writers- 19th century) , Prof R. Nicholson and Prof Arbery of Cambridge University(20th century) and Heins Meinke (poet), Prof Helmuth Ritter and Anne Marie Schimmel of Bonn University (orientalists- 20th century) are some who were influenced by Mevlana’s philosophy.

ISLAM AS “HETRODOX CHRISTIANITY”:

John of Demascus actually calls Islam Hetrodox Christianity. John of Damascus is called the first apologetic of Islam and a detractor.

According the Wikipedia “John of Damascus (Latin: Iohannes Damascenus or Johannes Damascenus also known as John Damascus, Chrysorrhoas, “streaming with gold”—i.e., “the golden speaker”) (c. 676 – December 5, 749) was a Melkite monk and presbyter. He was born and raised in Damascus but died (in all probability) at the monastery of Mar Saba, southeast of Jerusalem.”.In his book the “Heresies of Ishamail” he pretty much defines Islam in the light of Arianism and what he defines as Nestorianism. Nestorius (c.386-c.451) was a pupil of Theodore of Mopsuestia in Antioch and later became the Patriarch of Constantinople. He preached against the use of the title Mother of God (Theotokos) for the Virgin Mary and would only call her Mother of Christ (Christotokos).

John of Damascus in today’s light would not be considered an apologetic of Islam. I would consider him a proponent of Islam since he ties Islam to a kind of a Gnostic Gospel. He called all gospels divinely inspired. It is fascinating to see the link between Islam and Christianity. If we read Arianism and Nestorianism, and Unitarianism in conjunction with what the Archbishop of Canterbury says, it paints a picture of immense interaction between Islam and a much closer relationship than generally accepted.Fletcher in his book “The Cross and the Crescent” lists a lot of commonalities between Islam and Christianity and informs us the Syriac Christian Churches felt liberated when the Muslim took over the Holy lands. In all Muslims lands taken over by Muslims from Christians, the number of churches built went up phenomenally. The Syriac and Coptic Christians were closer to “Unitarians” and the heterodox Christian doctrine of Nestorianism. From a Christian perspective These were all the “heresies” that eventually got purged by Emperor Constantine and got included into Islam

MUHAMMAD THE REFORMER: Muhammad was a reformer in a sea of paganism. His message was the purest form of monotheism that exists in the three Abrahamic religions. He had married a Christian woman by the name of Khadija. When Muhammad got his message from God he was referred to Khadija’s unlce Waqaba who was a Monophysite Christian. Waraqa informed Muhammad that the voices he was hearing was from God and there is prophecy in the Bible about someone like Muhammad. Some critics claim that Muhammad was influenced by a Nestorian monk Bahira (George or Sergius) who met the boy Mohammed at Bostra in Syria and claimed to recognize in him the sign of a prophet.

MUHAMMAD’S MESSAGE RESONATES WITH THE DISENCHANTED CHRISTIAN ARIANS: With the Arian Goths in decline, the land was hungry for the purest form of monotheism. He was taking Arabia and the world back to monotheism. He pointed out the excesses of the synagogue just like Jesus had done 600 years earlier. Muhammad also tried to reform the established church just like Martin Luther did a thousand years later. Muhammad was extremely successful because the pagans and the progeny of Arians accepted the new monotheist message. Islam spread like wildfire.

Quran [5:82] ..And you will find that the closest people in friendship to the believers are those who say, “We are Christian.” This is because they have priests and monks among them, and they are not arrogant. [7:159] Among the followers of Moses there are those who guide in accordance with the truth, and the truth renders them righteous.

[5:46] Subsequent to them, we sent Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming the previous scripture, the Torah. We gave him the Gospel, containing guidance and light, and confirming the previous scriptures, the Torah, and augmenting its guidance and light, and to enlighten the righteous.

[5:47] The people of the Gospel shall rule in accordance with GOD’s revelations therein. Those who do not rule in accordance with GOD’s revelations are the wicked.

[2:62 & 5:69] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

CHRISTIANITY AT THE TIME OF MUHAMMAD: The “Christianity” and “Judaism” that existed at the time of Muhamamad was pre-reform Catholicism and Pre-Orthodox type of Judaism. It was very different than the Christianity and Judaism that exists today. The Christianity was probably based on the he scriptures called Diatesseron and the Catholic Epistles or Peshitta.

Since the Qur’ân talks about a Gospel, it would suggest Diatesseron more than Peshitta. Muslims consider the Quran to the 3rd and Final Testament and also think of the Torah and the Bible as Holy Books The Diatesseron was one of the earliest (AD 165) compilations of the Christian Bible. Tation’s Diatesseron is based on the Arabic version, itself a translation from the lost Syriac.Bible. It was complied iIn the second century, well before the `canonical’ gospels took their present form, Tatian took the four gospels (now included in Emperor Constantine’s approved Bible) and one or more Gnostic and Judaic one harmonized account of the life of Christ, the Diatessaron.

Tatian eliminated duplicated passages, deleted or reconciled contradicting verses, and harmonized parallels. Tatian’s Diatessaron became the standard gospel among the Syriac-speaking Christians of Syria and Mesopotamia up till the fifth century. Its text spread from China to England, and may be Iceland, and became one of the oldest witnesses to the gospels. Most Middle Eastern churches consider this the original Old Testament.

Arabic Translation: Two manuscripts of an Arabic translation of the Diatessaron exist (the Borgian and Vatican MSS). This translation is (in super- and sub-scriptions to the Borgian MS) said to be a translation made by Abu’l Faraj Abdulla ibn-at-Tayyib (d.1043) from a Syriac version of Tatian’s Diatessaron into Arabic. The Syriac exemplar on which he depended was written by Isa ibn Ali al Motatabbib (d. 873) who was a pupil of Honain ibn Ishak. In other words we are at least one translation (maybe two) away from the original Diatessaron, and several copyings

The principal Syriac translation of the Old Testament was carried out by Jews or Jewish Christians during the first two centuries AD. These are known as the Peshitta.By the beginning of the 5th century, or slightly earlier, the Syrian Church’s version of the Bible, the Peshitta (‘simple’ translation) was formed. For the New Testament it represented an accommodation of the Syrian canon with that of the Greeks. It contains 22 books – all of the present New Testament except: II Peter, II John, III John, Jude, Revelation of John. For the eastern part of the Syrian Church this constituted the closing of the canon, for after the Council of Ephesus (431 CE) the East Syrians separated themselves as the Nestorians.

The Peshitta, lightly revised and with missing books added, is the standard Syriac Bible for churches in the Syriac tradition: the Syriac Orthodox Church. Most Middle Eastern churches consider this the original Old Testament..The Quran is the word of God. The Hadith is the sayings of the prophet, so the Hadith is similar to the Bible. Christian Arab Kingdoms of the Ghassanids and Muntherits became the powers controlling the Arab Peninsula from Syria as far south as Yemen and Oman, and from Iraq as far south as the Arab Sea. The other Christians near Muhammad were the Nabatians.

The Nabateans were settled in northern Arabia and by the 6th century BC, they moved to what is now Jordan where they formed their state and kingdom. Petra, their capital, was a trading center between Arabia and the Mediterranean Sea.

ARIANISM IN MODERN TIMES: Today Arianism survives in the works of John Locke, Isaac Newton, Milton Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson. Archbishop Dimitri of the Orthodox Church in America has identified Islam as the largest descendant of Arianism today. There is similarity in Islam’s teaching that Jesus was a great prophet, but very distinct from God, although Islam sees Jesus as a human messenger of God without the divine properties that Arianism attributes to the Christ.

Islam sees itself as a continuation of the Jewish and Christian traditions and reveres many of the same prophets.Non-Trinitarians claim the roots of their position go back further than those of their counterpart trinitarians. Some ancient sects, such as the Ebionites, said that Jesus was not a “Son of God” but rather an ordinary man who was a prophet, a view of Jesus shared by Islam. The doctrine of the Godhead, as mentioned by Jefferson according to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is similar to Arianism

JOHN LOCKE and MILTON INFLUENCE JEFFERSON ON UNITARIANISM & DIEISM:

Thomas Jefferson was in touch with John Locke and heavily influenced by John Locke. In fact when Thomas Jefferson wrote the “Jefferson Bible” he mentions that he has been in touch with all major philosophers of religion in Europe. In 1700 Locke resigned from the Board of Trade and devoted himself to Biblical studies and religious meditation. He had carefully studied the Gospels in preparing his “Reasonableness of Christianity.” In researching the Epistles of St Paul, he applied the spirit of the Essay and the ordinary rules of critical interpretation to a literature which he venerated as infallible. The work was published two years after. A tract on Miracles, written in 1702, also appeared posthumously. John Locke’s “The Reasonableness of Christianity” is described by Samuel Bold.

Subscription controversy—the doctrinal dispute aroused by the spread of Arianism. Under the commonwealth, Socinianism (represented by Paul Best and John Biddle), Sabellianism (by John Fry), Arianism (by John Knowles, Thomas Collier and Paul Hobson) and universalism (by Richard Coppin, John Reeve and Ludowicke Muggleton), had been alike banned and persecuted. The intolerant attitude of both presbyterians and independents was continued after the restoration; and to this was now added the rigour of the re-established English church. To Richard Baxter, not less than to John Owen or to Stillingfleet, the Socinians were on a par with Mohammedans, Turks, atheists and papists.

FAMOUS UNITARIANS:

But, in spite of persecution, the discrete strands of varying anti-Trinitarian thought remained unbroken. Gilbert Clerke of Northamptonshire, a mathematician and, in a sense, a teacher of Whiston, Noval of Tydd St. Giles near Wisbech, Thomas Firmin (Sabellian), William Penn, Stephen Nye (Sabellian), William Freke (Arian), John Smith, the philomath, of St. Augustine’s, London (Socinian), Henry Hedworth, the disciple of Biddle, and William Manning, minister of Peasenhall (1630–1711) (independent), form a direct and unbroken, though irregular, chain of anti-Trinitarian thought, extending from the commonwealth days to those of toleration—not to mention the more covert but still demonstrable anti-Trinitarianism of Milton and Locke. With the passing of the Toleration act of 1689, the leaven of this long train of anti-Trinitarian thought made itself strongly felt. It first appeared in the bosom of the church of England itself, in the so-called Socinian controversy. In 1690, Arthur Bury, a latitudinarian divine, was deprived of the rectorship of Lincoln college, Oxford, for publishing his Naked Gospel. The proceedings gave rise to a stream of pamphlet literature on both sides. In the same year, 1690, John Wallis, Savilian professor of mathematics at Oxford, was involved in a controversy with a succession of …anonymous Arian and Socinian writers (among them William Jones) by the publication of his Doctrine of the Blessed Trinity briefly Explained. Simultaneously, Sherlock’s Vindication of the Holy and ever Blessed Trinity, although directed against the same group of writers, called forth another outburst of pamphleteering from quite another quarter, South leading the attack with his Animadversions upon Dr. Sherlock’s Vindication. The first portion of the anti-Trinitarian literature produced in this triangular contest is collected in The Faith of one God Who is only the Father (1691). In the ranks of dissent, the same controversy manifested itself in the disputes which wrecked the independent and presbyterian “happy union” and, contemporaneously, it appeared in the baptist body.

BAPTIST MATTHEW CAFFYN UPHELD UNITARIANISM: In 1693, Matthew Caffyn, baptist minister at Horsham, Sussex, was for a second time accused before the “Baptist General Assembly” of denying Christ’s divinity; and, when the assembly refused to vote his expulsion, a secession took place, and the rival “Baptist General Association” was formed. In the same year, the anti-Trinitarians published a Second collection of tracts proving the God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only true God (1693). The tenth, and last, tract in this volume was a reply to South’s Animadversions on Sherlock’s Vindication.

PRESBYTERIAN JOHN HOWE DEFENDS UNITARIANISM:: In the following year (1694), the presbyterian John Howe entered the field with his Calm and sober Inquiry directed against the above tract, and, to make the fight triangular, Sherlock replied to South and Howe together in A Defence of Dr. Sherlock’s notion of a Trinity in Unity. The anti-Trinitarians’ Third collection of Tracts, which followed immediately, was a reply at once to Howe, on the one hand, and to Sherlock, on the other.

SOCINIAN CONTROVERSY: JOHN SMITH, LOCKE AND NEWTON DEFENDED UNITARIANISM:This first Trinitarian or so-called Socinian controversy, practically, came to an end in 1708. It received its deathblow, in 1698, by the act for the more effectual suppression of blasphemy and profaneness, which remained on the statute book till 1813. With the exception of John Smith’s Designed End to the Socinian Controversy (1695), the whole of the anti-Trinitarian contributions to it had been anonymous (both Locke and Sir Isaac Newton are supposed to have contributed under the cover of this anonymity); and, with the exception of Howe, no representatives of the professed dissenting denominations had joined in the fray. It is therefore to be regarded, primarily, as a church of England controversy, in which the churchmen had weakened the Trinitarian cause by a triangular and virtually conflicting defence: Sherlock versus South versus Tillotson and Burnet, and all four versus the enemy. The agitation which the controversy produced among the dissenters was mainly reflex, and is apparent more in their domestic quarrels, noted above, than in their published literature. But, disproportionately small as was the dissenting share of the combatants in mere point of literature, the intellectual ferment which ensued in following years showed itself more in the bosom of dissent than in the life and thought of the church of England.

PRESBYTERIAN THOMAS EMLYN SELF DESCRIBED UNITARIAN English Presbyterian minister and writer who first publicly adopted the name Unitarian todesignate a liberal, rational approach to God as a single person (as opposed to Christianbelief in the Trinity). He was was tried at Dublin, in 1693, for publishing his“Humble Inquiry into the Scripture account of Jesus Christ”, an Arian response to Sherlock’s “Doctrine of the Trinity.”

CRITICISM OF MUHAMMAD: His popularity in the world of Islam and elsewhere has attracted a barrage of criticism on his personality, his message and his life. Heretic Christian monk, false prophet, warrior, womanizer, and cruel are some of the major themes of criticism rained on this man whose popularity has continued to grow around the globe. Obviously his message is resonating with humans and his criticism is not being heard. He never proclaimed that he was starting a new religion. He always insisted that this was the original faith of Abraham and vociferously proclaimed one God, the God of Abraham, the god of Jesus and the God of Noah. He remained faithful to the love of his life Khadija for more than 20 years ‘till his death. He married slves to liberate them and old widows to provide them comfort in dieing. Most of his marriages were at the end of his life, not during the youthful years. He took the advice of Khatija nad Ayesha and considered them partners in his life and in Islam.

Like King David, Muhammad could have chosen to become king of Arabia. Instead he established covenants with the Christians and and his “Mishaq e Medina” was a constitution that established an ummah of Jews and Muslims. Arabia had about 50,000 people of which only about 20,000 or less were able bodied men who could wage war. A smaller subset of this number actually formed the army that within 50 years of the death of Muhammad brought Morocco to Indonesia. Obviously it was not the sword that brought this vast area under the sway of the color green….it was the message of Muhammad, a message of love, affection, compassion and one of equality and justice. Islam was not spread by the sword. The largest Muslim populations in the world in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India constitute more than 80% of the Muslims. None of these populations are Arab and none of these people were ever conquered by Arab armies.

REJECTING DOGMA IN THE SPIRIT OF ECUMENICAL HARMONY: . Dogma creates problems If we move away from dogma we find the power of ecumenical harmony. Based on my research on the Church’s adherence to “infallibility” and “inerrancy“, we can surely find common ground in our beliefs. Our belief is similar to the Christian belief as researched by Pagels and discussed in the Da Vinci Code (Naag Hamdi Texts and the Lost Gnostic Bibles). In the broad spectrum of today’s Christianity, Islam is closest to the Unitarians, the flag bearers of Arianism. We are also close to the Presbyterians, Episcopalians, and other liberal churches who are willing to work with Muslims. The Pope has declared that Islam is an Abrahamic faith and that belief in Islam qualifies a soul to enter heaven, a thought described by Moses Maimonides in his Epistle to the Yemenites in the 12th century. There is a book that is a must read for all Da Vinci Code fans, and those who are interested in real history. Michael BaIgent of “Holy Blood and Holy Grail” fame, in his latest fact based historical book “The Jesus Papers“, traces the roots of the violent Jewish (Sakari, Pharisee, and Zedoc) insurgency against the Romans and links the insurgency to Judas (Mathew 2:22, 2:23), and also to Jesus Christ.

Schoenfeld’s “Passover plot” also discusses this insurgency against the Roman occupiers of Judea (later reamed Palestina) and how the Jewish Sakari used to use their daggers for assassinations. An overwhelming body of evidence ties Jesus to the insurgency in Judea, and this may have been the main reason to put him to death. The Roman backlash ended up with the Jews fleeing to Masaada and them committing mass suicide. As a result of the Jewish insurgency, in and around 70 AD, Jewish Jerusalem was totally destroyed by the Romans and renamed Aelia de Capitolina. It was the Romans that would display the bodies of their enemies along Roman roads. Titus used Jews for entertainment.After the destruction of the 2nd temple around 70 AD, the despised Roman emperor, Herrod killed thousands of Jews and displayed their bodies for everyone to see. The reverberations of this type of morbid activity live to this day.

FOUNDING FATHERS OF THE USA

Sir Isaac Newton, Jefferson, Adam, Franklin and others used these Unitarian ideas and are today called “Deists”. The founding fathers of America were Deists whose ideas very similar to those expounded by the Arians, Unitarians and Islam. John Locke (influenced by Ibn Tufail), James Madison and Benjamin Franklin (friends of the most famous Unitarian Joseph Priestly), Thomas Jefferson (who also owned a coy of the Quran), Isaac Newton (who wrote extensively in defense of “Arianism” “A Historical Account of Two Notable Corruptions of Scripture“), Milton were all Unitarians in some form or another. These Deists had ideas about Jesus which were FAR from the dogma and their ideas were very close to those that we have in the Islamic faith. Jefferson actually wrote a Bible free of “dogma“. The USA is truly a conglomeration of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and those expounding a clash of civilizations are simply hate mongers. John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin were too enlightened to be bogged down in dogma. They gave u our glorious constitution, and Jefferson even gave us a Bible. Using these documents there is a lot of hope ecumenical harmony in the USA which will surely reverberate back to South Asia and the Middle East.The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) said: “On the Day of Resurrection I
will intercede and say,

‘O my Lord! Admit into Paradise (even) those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.’” Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Hadith 600

Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, the fastest growing religion in Europe, and the fastest growing religion in America. 4 out 5 Western coverts are women. This phenomenon has to understood in terms of sociology not pulpit propaganda.

“Democracy” is a farce perpetuated to fool the people of Pakistan and destabilize it.

Much is available on this site on how Jefferson, Hamilton, and Socrates opposed “Democracy”.  Many articles are available on this site about the folly of US direct intervention into Pakistani territory.

The Pakistan body politics now awash in American Dollars, is singularly worried about an British coined word “Democracy” which was intelligently used to disenfranchise the Muslim rulers of the Subcontinent. Within a span of two centuries the Devanagri script was imposed on the Muslim and overnight they became illiterate. Muslim participation in the government declined precipitously. To compound the problem land confiscation schemes (under the title of “reforms”) were introduced in under the so called banner of Socialism, which snatched all the lands from the Muslims. Within a century, the Muslims illiterate and penury stricken had to face mob rule. 5 million were ethnically cleansed out of the border areas.

This “word” democracy never appears in the US Constitution and was not good enough for the British Empire itself or for South Africa, Zimbabwe and in America. In America women were disenfranchised and the new American revolution included only rich white White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestants (WASP).

Now an assissination with pre-planned riots has caused havoc on the soil of Pakistan. This new mob rule is being used to destabilize Pakistan and create conditions conducive to the new military intervention into Pakistan. Pakistan is the next Green domino to fall to aggression. Somehow Iran was skipped because of a resurgent Russia and an ascendant China both of which need the Iranian oil.

Pakistan was not given $10 Billion in aid. Only $5 Billion was aid, the rest was reimbursement for space, logistics etc.

US Military Escalation Gets Underway In Pakistan by Tom Hayden
The US government is considering direct military intervention in the tribal areas of Pakistan, risking an escalated conflict with Pashtun nationalism in the name of crushing al Qaeda. An essay in last week’s Washington Post, a front page story in today’s New York Times and reports from the Real News Network all confirm that a decision to intervene is near. The Times confirms that as many as 50 American personnel, whether special forces or CIA, already operate clandestinely inside the Pakistani border.

Democrats have called no hearings nor raised significant voices of opposition to the unfolding plan. In New Hampshire last night, Sen. Barack Obama repeated his endorsement of unilateral US military intervention in Pakistan if “actionable intelligence” exists. His Democratic rivals did not dissent.

The consequences of the possible escalation are extremely unpredictable. The alleged al-Qaeda militants are embedded in complex tribal networks in a remote mountainous area. Military action could inflict severe casualties and damage to these traditional communities and inflame anti-American sentiment across Muslim Pakistan. It might accelerate the disintegration of the US-backed Musharraf dictatorship which currently possesses nuclear weapons. Musharraf and the Pakistani military have steadfastly opposed direct American intervention for the past five years.

Speculation is rife that US support for the ill-fated return of Benezir Bhutto to Pakistan was based partly on an understanding that she would endorse and legitimize an expanded US presence in her country. If neither the American embassy nor the Musharraf regime could save her from death at a public event, it is unclear how successful American special forces will be in the wilds of South Waziristan.

There is virtually no public discussion of the implications of American support for a military dictatorship that imprisons Pakistani lawyers while harboring anti-US jihadists. Instead of enforcing the existing Leahy Amendment [1997] which bans military assistance to human rights violators, the US has spent approximately $10 billion in five years supporting the Musharraf regime, alienating a majority of Pakistanis, and lending credence to the claims of Muslim extremists. Having contributed to, or at least failing to have prevented Pakistan’s fall into chaos, “senior officials” quoted by the Times now are blaming al-Qaeda for plotting all along to achieve “the big prize, creating chaos in Pakistan itself.”

It is ironic that Democrats like Obama, whose campaign was built around questioning the intelligence justifying the Iraq War would now be arguing for a preventive war in a sovereign country if evidence gathered by intelligence sources is merely “actionable.”

The further irony is that the “war on terrorism” is escalating without meaningful discussion or dissent in the midst of the most open and democratic of American processes, the presidential debates.

Congressional hearings and questioning by the presidential candidates might stall, circumscribe or prevent the escalation. An alternative policy of reducing US military assistance to Pakistan and demanding the full restoration of civil liberties there, while seeking diplomatic de-escalation in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Palestine is being ignored in the march towards a wider quagmire.

THOSE PRESSURING PAKISTAN TO ACCEPT THESE LEADERS NEED TO LOOK AT THE ORIGINS OF “DEMOCRACY”: The words was coined in 1945.

The American Founding Fathers did not “set up a constitutional system in which the power of the state flowed from and is dependent on the power of the people“. These particular ideas may work well as candy for 8th grade (his)tory books but it is a bit far removed from reality. For a dose of reality, we need to know that the word “democracy” does not appear in the constitution of the United States.

As historians Charles Austin Beard and Mary Ritter Beard wrote (1939): “At no time, at no place, in solemn convention assembled, through no chosen agents, had the American people officially proclaimed the United States to be a democracy. The Constitution did not contain the word or any word lending countenance to it, except possibly the mention of ‘We the people,’ in the preamble … When the Constitution was framed, no respectable person called himself a democrat.”

The USA was created as “republic” not a “democracy”. The word democracy was coined in the late 40s to “manufacture consent” for the war against “fascism” and “Nazism” to spread “democracy” and freedom in Europe.

James Madison’s Federalist Paper #10 discusses the issue of Democracies. In it he states: “Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives, as they have been violent in their deaths. Theoretic politicians, who have patronized this species of Government, have erroneously supposed, that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would, at the same time, be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions and their passions.” We can see from this that Mr. Madison would never have advocated a pure Democracy for his new nation. wealth4freedom.

About 370 BC, Plato wrote: “A democracy is a state in which the poor, gaining the upper hand, kill some and banish others, and then divide the offices among the remaining citizens equally.”

Alexander Hamilton, in debate, said: “Real liberty is neither found in despotism or the extremes of democracy, but in moderate government.”

“Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the” Ayn Rand

There are serious flaws in the US constitution, which allows a majority to completely over-rule the rights of minorities or allows a minority opinion to be imposed on the majority if the vote is split. For example, if there are 3 candidates in an election and two get 30% of the vote and the third gets 40% of the vote. Now the person with 40% of the votes gets elected, even though 60% of the people opposed his election. This taken care of on the French and German constitutions by having run-offs.

How about a few quotations demonstrating the disdain our founders held for democracy?
James Madison, Federalist Paper No. 10: In a pure democracy,

“there is nothing to check the inducement to sacrifice the weaker party or the obnoxious individual.”

At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, Edmund Randolph said,

” … that in tracing these evils to their origin every man had found it in the turbulence and follies of democracy.”

John Adams said:

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There was never a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”

? Chief Justice John Marshall observed:

“Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.“

In a word or two, the founders knew that a democracy would lead to the same kind of tyranny the colonies suffered under King George III

Not to digress to far, but this is very similar of “manufacturing consent” to spread “democracy” in the Middle East, where we support a minority non-pashtun government in Afghanistan and are now in the process of replacing a secular government with a pro-Iranian ayatollah led theocracy in Iraq. In fact all the founding father, Jefferson, Hamilton repeatedly spoke up AGAINST “democracy” as a system of government for the USA.

However I agree that a system of government however imperfect that strives to allow people to control the government may work well in literate societies. Our glorious experiment in democracy is surely a beacon to the world and yes it is based on the Judeo-Christian-Islamic traditions.

The American Constitution was based on the Magna Carta. The most important part of the American constitution is chapter 39 taken from the Magna Carta.

“Nullus liber homo capiatur vel imprisonetur aut disseisietur de libero tenemento suo, vel libertatibus, vel liberis consuetudinibus suis, aut utlagetur, aut exuletur, aut aliquo modo destruatur, nec super eum ibimus, nec super eum mittemus, nisi per legale judicium parium suorum, vel per legem terr.”

In English this shows up as “No freeman shall be taken, or imprisoned, or be disseised of his freehold, or liberties, or free customs, or be outlawed, or exiled, or any otherwise destroyed; nor will we not pass upon him, nor condemn him, but by lawful judgment of his peers, or by the law of the land.“

Contrary to popular belief, the original Magna Carta was not even written in English. It was translated into Latin from the original Arabic. “Trial by jury” was of course an Arab invention popular in Al-Andulusia (Spain).  The Magna Carta was taken from the much despised and misunderstood Shariah Law. See John Maksidi’s research consecrated and published in the North Carolina Law journal (copy can be retrieved or mailed to you).  The Bill of Rights were taken from Ibn Tufail, Ibn Haitam and canonized (“canon’ is from the Arabic word “qanoon”) by Hamilton and Jefferson as the Bill of Rights.

Background of the Assassination

The Pakistan Army and it head at the time, President Musharraf refuses to allow Pakistani airspace, and disallow the USA to attack Iran from Pakistani bases. Pakistan refuses to join in the fight against Iran. Despite objections, Pakistan continues to work on a pipeline from Iran through Pakistan to India. This situation is very similar to what Khan Liaqat Ali Khan faced in 1952. LAK also refused to fight against Iran. We now present the summary and then the thesis accompanied with the citations from a plethora of sources.

1. Mr. Nawaz Sharif gained notoriety during the reign of General Zia and was Chief Minister of the Punjab. When India occupied Siachin in 1983 he was in power. There was a muted reposnse from Mr. Sharif. At the time Pakistan could have forced an Indian withdrawl based on the Afghan war.
2. Mr. Sharif proposed a Lahore Declaration based on the Simla agreement. Mr. Sharif also wanted to make the Pakistani currency common with the India currency. Pakistanis and the Pakistan Army personnel do not want to hear the word “Simla” which was coerced and signed under duress.
3. Kargil belonged to Pakistan before 1971. The Pakistan Army planned a counterattack in Kargil and captured 300 peaks. Mr. Nawaz Sharif ran to Washington and signed a surrender document in Washington really antagonizing the army which had requested 2 more weeks to sanctify the “re-conquista” of Kargil.
4. The meeting on signing the Charter of Democracy planned out a strategy for a counter coupin Pakistan. Mr. Nawaz Sharif through his friend Mr. Sanaullah in Baluchistan contacted Mr. Iftikhar Chaudhry and executes the counter coup.
5. Mr. Ahtizaz Ahsan (infamous in Pakistan for handing over the list of Sikh rebels to Rajiv Gandhi and extinguishing the East Punjab insurgency) starts the lawyers movement without the total assent of Benazir Bhutto who tolerates it.

The above five points are responsible for the vandetta wars between the Sahrif clan and the army. Both sides routinely publish “proof” on how evil the other clan is.

The Strategy for the Assassination

1. The Benazir assassination was pre-planned and executed via triangulation by Khad, RAW, CIA and Mossad using the most modern radio active weapons available in the market. The Israeli PM publicly admitted helping India in Kargil recently.

The Assassination and the Destabilization

1. The assassination of Ms. Bhutto was a key critical link, (but not the only one) in the destabilization strategy.

“If out of India’s millions of daughters, I can train even one into an ideal woman by becoming an ideal mother to you” he told he “I shall have remembered a unique service to womankind“.

But first he felt he had to be sure she was telling the truth. Only his closest collaborators were accompanying him to Noakhali, he informed her, but she would be welcome, provided she submitted to his discipline and went through the test which he meant to subject her.

They would, he decreed, share each night the crude straw pallet which
passed for his bed. He regarded himself her mother; she had said that she
found nothing but a mothers love for him. If they were both truthful, if he
remained firm in his ancient vow of chastity and she had never know sexual
arousal, then they would be able to lie together in the innocence of a
mother daughter. If one of them was not being truthful, they would soon
discover it.

Erik H Erikson (american psychoanalys)while doing his reasearch in india on Ghabdi wrote about Ghandis episodes with other women besides Manu the articles were also published in new yorker of 1996. He gives the reference of a book by Nirmal Bose : My days with Gandhi. It deals with this problem and other, very respectfully in two chapters On 3.2.1947 he said, as Nirmal Bose quotes :

” What [ he was ?]doing was not for imitation. It was undoubtly dangerous, but it ceased to be so if the conditions were rigidly observed. “

POLITICAL FAILURE OF GANDHI: The biggest Urban Myth is that Mr. Gandhi led a movement for the independence from the British. Gandhi did not bring the British empire to its knees. In 1945 the tottering “empire” was its knees already. Actually it had been knocked out (KO!). WW2 with 50 million dead had totally destroyed London and decimated the infrastructure of the country. There was no appetite for empire. British voters threw out Churchill. The exhausted British had already decided to leave all her colonies after the 2nd world war. After the Labor Atlee government took over in Britain, the only point of discussion was “when” to dismantle the colonies. Nigeria, Malaysia, Kuwait, Iraq all got their independence without any “Gandhi”.

What kind of national leaders sits in a religious “Ashram” and wears a monk like religious uniform? Would this sort of enlightened soul be acceptable to a diverse population? The answer is no.

It is nonsensical to say that Gandhi won freedom for the Subcontinent “without spilling a drop of blood.”Non-violence” was just a slogan. Gandhi sent thousands to fight in the British wars. Five million died in 1947.  In the 40′s  when the British colonial rule was taking its last breadth there was a strong wave of nationalism across the globe, in China, in Malysia, in Nigeria, in South Africa, and in the Subcontinent. Many of the leaders were Tipu Sultan, Bahadar Shah Zafar, Alam Iqbal, Mohhammad Ali Jinnah, Maula Mohammad Azad, The Ali Brothers, Maulana Abdul Bari Farangi Mahali, Lokmanya Tilak, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, Gokhale, Lal Lajpat Rai, Veer Savarkar and many other unnamed heroes. Their sacrifices were not less than Mahatma Gandhi. 

Gandhi came to the political scene in India after Jinnah, Iqbal, and Sir Syed. He came after Tilak Yug,  Subhash Chandra Bose  launched the “Azad Hind Fauj.”  The devastating affects of the 2nd Tribal War (World War II) forced the British government to abandon her Colonial Empire.

GANDHI WAS “CREATED” TO USE THE SOUTH AFRICANS IN THE BRITISH WARS: Gandhi was a creation of the British and they used him to get the South Africans to fight in the British wars. He also stratified the South African society.

From Oct. 1899 to  May 31st, 1902 Mahatma Gandhi did not mention in “Non-Violence.”At the beginning of the South African War, Gandhi argued that “Indians must support the War effort in order to legitimize their claims to full citizenship. “ 
 

The  “Prophet of Non-Violence“, the “apostle of peace” urged the Indians to support the British by enlisting in the army during World War I.

GANDHI WAS A TOTAL FAILURE IN SOUTH AFRICA: Gandhi was a failure in South Africa and a failed attorney in Bombay. His failure hardened “Apartheid” and it took decades to dismantle it. This created a rift with the Black of South Africa who rejected this. Gandhi urged the colonial authorities to raise a volunteer militia of Indians to fight for the Empire. Gandhi informed the “South African Natal Authorities” that it would be a “criminal folly” if they did not enlist Indians for the war. Mr. Gandhi urged the Indian community to show their loyalty to the British Empire by raising funds for the War. He reminded them that they were in South Africa due to the courtesy of the Empire.

GANDHI (self proclaimed “RECRUITER IN CHIEF”) WAS IMPORTED TO THE SUBCONTINENT BY THE BRITISH TO SUPPORT THE WAR EFFORT :The British Empire included many countries in Africa and Asia. In the Subcontinent it included more than 500 states. At the end of the 2nd Tribal War in Europe (WW2), the pillars of the once mighty British Empire were collapsing. In the Subcontinent the War of Independence of 1857 (also known as “Indian Mutiny“) had failed.Gandhi’s arrival in India was a carefully planned and crafted scheme to get rid of the Muslim leadership in the Indian National Congress. Some of the biggest millionaires in India devised a marketing plan to construct a leader for a superstitious, illiterate and colonized people. Gandhi was the perfect candidate. He was imported from South Africa. Special trains were constructed to transport Gandhi in “3rd class” bogeys.

The Salt March and his fast in Calcutta were managed events for publicity and fund raising. Huge crowds were attracted to this circus.  Funds were generated to support the Indian National Congress and other organizations which unleashed a campaign of terror against the Muslims of Bengal and Kashmir.  Initially the INC was not a communal organization but it used the RSS and the Jan Sangh to do its dirty work. The machinery worked overtime to put the Subcontinent on the track of Ram Rajhya.Gandhi first introduced Hindu religious symbols to Motilal Nehru’s Secular Indian National Congress and then tried to make all of India succumb to a racist Hindu Ram Rajha rule. The British brought Gandhi back to India from South Africa to sabotage Indian national movement against British rule. The Congress Party at the time was a secular party.  At the expense of other important people  Nehru-Gandhi were imposed on the party which had been  set up under the patronage of the British authorities.

The 2nd World War broke out in 1939 after Nazi Germany invaded Poland. Initially, Mr. Gandhi favored offering “non-violent moral support” to the British effort, but other Congress leaders were offended by the unilateral inclusion of the people of the Subcontinent into the war, without the consultation of the people’s representatives (INC,ML, AD, RSS, Jan Sangh etc.).

Mr. Gandhi introduced religious symbols into politics which led to the Indian National attracting the communalists like Patel. As a result of the Ashrams and the satyargarhs and the Banda Mahtaram INC became a Hindu Party with the Muslims in the Muslim League and the Sikhs in the Akali Dal. Unable to agree on the Cabinet Mission Plan all agreed to gain independence in a different manner from the British. Gandhi’s religious symbols eventually led to the BJP ruling India, Ayodhia and the massacres in Gujrat. Secularism in India means “Hinduism Light”. Dynestic “Democracy” in India was imposed to wrest the control of India from Muslim lands. Land reforms were forced on a vulnerable Muslim population and their lands were confiscated.  

SCHEME TO DETHRONE THE MUSLIMS FROM THE CORRIDORS OF POWER: A scheme was created to disable the Muslim infrastructure of India and get rid of the rulers who had ruled India for more than a thousand years. A word that had not been in vogue was issued into the lexicon of the English language. This word “Democracy” did not appear in the American constituion and Socrates, Jeffersen, Hamilton and others had written much against it. However the word galvanized the people of Britian and America to fight Fascism. It worked to draw in the Americans to the war. The British used this word to seduce the Hindus of the Subcontinent to lure them into supporting them so that after they left, they would rule the Subcontinent–something they had not dreamed about in more than a thousand years.

The politics of sex locked the British Empire into irrational decision making. There is an overwhelming body of evidence to show that Lord Mountbatten was gay. Lord Mountbatten was seduced by Mr. Nehru whose homosexual tendencies have been mentioned by Stanley Wolpert and others. Lord Mountbatten’s wife Edwina’s affair with Mr. Nehru is well known also.

GANDHI WAS A FAILURE IN THE SUBCONTIENT:Gandhi had pledged to keep a fast to death on many occasions. He did not do so.

“The anti-Muslim thrust of some of Gandhi’s Hindu opponents combined with Muslim separatism to produce Pakistan.” Gandhi’s grandson

The Gandhi opponents in India were unhappy with him for “allowing Pakistan”. They also think that the “protest fast unto death and the non-violent arm of Gandhism was a fraud. Both Mahatma Gandhi and British Empire knew this. This was a friendly fight as Congress, its allies and left fronts are doing. After all they are true loyalist of Nehru Gandhi dynasty. “ 

THE NON-VIOLENCE SLOGAN WAS FOR THE SAKE OF THE BRITISH RULERS–SERGEANT MAJOR GANDHI ACTUALLY SUPPORTED ALL THIER WARS

 The “Non Violence” theme in the Subcontient was a great marketing ploy of Mr. Nehru and Mr. Gandhi. Gandhis sole contribution to history was to make 150 million Muslims of India subservient to the Hindus.   Attempts to make another 300 million subservient continue.Other than lip service he was unable to eliminate the caste system in India. Sati and “White Widows” remain instilled in the fabric of India.

PERSONAL FAILURE:

“We know from his autobiography how shamefully he treated his wife. He was transparently honest and he had much less to hide from anyone else. Nothing can be found if other public figures are to be scrutinized because things have been carefully hidden and suppressed.” Gandhi, the family man

1. Gandhi used to beat his wife up routinely.
2. Gandhi was having sex when his father lay breathing his last upstairs.
3. Gandhi denied sex to his wife for decades
4. Gandhi was an adulterer and had a spiritual marriage with two British women who were in the Ashram
5. Gandhi slept naked with his niece and other women to prove that he could control his manliness.
6. Gandhi would do enemas twice a day and if he liked you allowed you to enter the piece up his rectum.
7. Gandhi son left him and converted to Islam
8. Gandhi was a total failure in South Africa where he tried to stratify the society, Whites, Indians and Africans

The Indian government contributed $10 million for the movie Gandhi. It is based on a book of fiction called “Freedom at Midnight” by Collins et al. You can see glossed over failures and the perversion in the movie Gandhi but it is not overt and explicitly shown. You have to be smart and familiar with the history to see it embedded in the movie.

Where the world sees a saint, Rajmohan Gandhi sees a cruel husband and a mostly absent father, paying scant attention to his children’s schooling and dragging wife Kasturba across continents at will, belittling her desire for the simplest of material possessions, then expecting her to comply when he turns from amorous husband to platonic companion to apparent adulterer. Gandhi took on a magnetic personality in the presence of young women, and was able to persuade them to join him in peculiar experiments of sleeping and bathing naked together, without touching, all apparently to strengthen his chastity. (Whether these experiments were always successful is anyone’s guess.) It is also revealed that Gandhi began a romantic liaison with Saraladevi Chaudhurani, niece of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore—a disclosure that has created a buzz in the Indian press. The author tells us that Gandhi, perhaps disingenuously, called it a “spiritual marriage,” a “partnership between two persons of the opposite sex where the physical is wholly absent.”  This bombshell occupies only five pages, but it gives Rajmohan Gandhi enough material for his book’s redeeming feature—namely, the clear depiction of the tensions between Gandhi’s erratic emotional compass and his unswerving moral one. For despite the occasional salacious lapses, the overarching principle that infused Gandhi’s life was his intrinsic belief in the equality of all souls. 

“Mahatma Gandhi was not shy of speaking about his relationship with his women associates, except in a few cases. He wanted the world to know of his tryst with Brahmacharya in which women constituted an integral part. He kept a meticulous record and tried to make the players keep the records too. Alas! “It was the revulsion from sex that forced Gandhiji to take the vow of Brahamacharya in 1906. Then onwards, till the laboratory experiment in Noakhali, Gandhiji kept trying to find out if it was possible to overcome desire and remain a brahmachari. There were more than a dozen women who came to closely associated with him at one time or the other. Some of them were foreigners – Millie Graham Polak, Sonja Schlesin, Esther Faering, Nilla Cram Cook, Margarete Spiegel and Mirabehn. Prabhavati, Kanchan Shah, Shushila Nayyar and Manu Gandhi formed a part of his entourage at various points in time. He called JEKI “the Only Adopted Daughter”. Gandhiji was too found of Saraldevi Chowdharani, Rabindranath Tagore’s niece, and often displayed her as his mannequin for popularizing Khadi. He called her his “spiritual wife”.

His closeness to Saraladevi or arguments on Brahmacharya with Premabehn Kantak created a storm in the ashram and exposed him to public glare. He was undaunted and made a tactical retreat to allow the storm to subside. Soon things were back to normal. While the world was unsure, the Mahatma was sure of his actions.

There was a definite attraction in Gandhiji that brought womenfolk to him. It is quite possible that they were looking for glory and he provided the opportunity. Some like Mirabehn were inspired by his ideals and wanted to devote their entire life to his cause. But once they came close, Gandhiji and not his cause became their obsession. They hardly knew this was the next step to losing him, as the Mahatma could not be chained. He had higher goals. The book is a psycho-biography and a study of man-woman relationship involving one of the greatest men in living memory.”

Experts from Gandhi’ grandson’s Book “Mohandas”:

“Saraladevi was the topic of discussion in undertones and overtones among his friends, associated and family members. How could Ba not be affected? The years 1919 and 1920 were years of mental torture and agony for her”. (page 220)

Gandhiji referred to “small-talks, whispers and innuendos” going around of which he was well aware: “He was already in the midst of so much suspicion and distrust, he told the gathering, that he did not want his most innocent acts to be misunderstood and misrepresented”. (page 339)

“The Sarla Devi episode in his life establishes his humanity. To suppress any information on Gandhi would have meant doing injustice to what he stood for all his life – truth. I have only presented the facts as a scholar not a sensationalist journalist” (Mr Gandhi the grandson of Mohandas Gandhi)

The book “Mohandas” also describes Gandhi’s practice of brahmacharya in his life. He would sleep nude with his niece Manu. “It’s a matter of historical record. This has been written about many times. Even Gandhi wrote about it. In doing so, he was surrendering his sexuality and that of his partner’s, after passing a huge test,”

Dr. Sushila Nayar told Ved Mehta that she used to sleep with Gandhi as she regarded him as a Hindu god.

Responding to noted Gandhian Rajmohan Gandhi’s recent claim about Mahatma Gandhi’s fondness for Sarla Devi, his granddaughter Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee on Friday said as a man of great aesthetic sensibility, if Gandhi felt attracted to a “woman of intellect” it could be natural. Elaborating her point, Bhattacharjee said Mahatma Gandhi also admired the way Rajkumari Amrit Kaur held her pen.

In another book “Mira and the Mahatma”, psychoanalyst Sudhir Kakkar delves deep into the desires that lay buried in the “Mahatma’s” heart. The hero pines for the company of his Mira who is away from him. “You are on the brain. I look about me, and I miss you. I open the charkha and miss you,”  (Excerpt from Sudhir Kakkar’s book).

THE ORIGINS OF THE “MAHATMA” MONIKER: EVANGALIST GOALS OF MISSIONARIES IN THE SUBCONTINENT.

Mr. Mohandas Gandhi was converted into a “Mahatma”  under the auspicies of the British in South Africa. Its genesis was started by the white Christian clergy. Rev. Joseph J. Doke, a Baptist Minster was the first to write the biography of M. K. Gandhi.
What started as a ploy became an avalanche under a well planned scheme.  Pastor John H. Holmes, a Unitarian ”priest” from New York praised Gandhi in his writings and sermons with titles like:

• “Gandhi: The Modern Christ”,
• “Mahatma Gandhi: The Greatest Man since Jesus Christ”,
• “Mahatma Ji: Reincarnation of Christ” and
• “Gandhi before Pilate.”

Romain Rolland, the French Nobel Laureate in literature thought of Gandhi not only as a Hindu saint, but also “another Christ”. He wrote Gandhi’s new biography in French which poured praise on the the diety— “Gandhi is the One Luminous, Creator of All,” “Mahatma.”

At this juncture the Nehru-Gandhi loyalist Hindus were brought in.  Muslims and others from the Subcontinent were left aghast when Krishnalal Shridharni elevated Gandhi to the status of twentieth century Hindu god – “The seventh reincarnation of Vishnu, Lord Rama.”

One of the objectives of colonialism was the “civilze” the “natives” and the “tribes”. According to Rdyard Kipling this was the “White Man’s Burden”. The British machinery and their accolytes, the Christian clergy had an ulterior motive in building the Gandhi myth. Similar schemes had worked in Africa and Latin America. Local dieties were “included” in Christian concepts to make it more palatable to the people. Later these “local influences” would be purged.

The Colonial rulers thought that by elevating Gandhi to a 20th century messiah and then converting him would open the flood gate for evangelizing and converting the Hindu and masses. However Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was not Emperor Constantine, and was unable to fulfill the wishes of the colonian masters.

Many believe that this wish of foreign funded Christian Missionaries is being fulfilled by Christian Sonia Gandhi and her Christian lobby. Many Indians are upset that Glady Stains was awarded Padmshree. Many Indians are upset at the missionary activities of the faith healer Benny Hinn’s organized in Bangalore with the support of Andhra Government to please, Sonia Gandhi, the Pope and the Vatican City’s its Indian ambassador.

They now have code words. “Immigration issues” for “Hate all foreigners, specially Mexicans“, “Anti-Cirme” for “Hate blacks”, “Anti-Terrorism” for “Islamophobia“. Hate sells and in this open hunting season on Muslims, hate mongering has done wonders for the career of some Talk Radio hosts.

About 6 decades ago the anachronistic “sippenhaft” was buried into the catafalque of history at Nuremberg. Collective guilt and punishment is an egregious violation of human rights and a war crime. It has no place in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Attempts to resurrect the desiccated sarcophagus of “collective guilt” (Japanese internment, Jewish Holocaust, Soviet Gulag) from the catacombs of depravation will fail. Muslims refuse to take foster parentage of the morass of foreign policy failures that perpetuate this cycle of blowback and violence. We want to anathematize this mantra of “holding all Muslims responsible” for the actions of the scum that was nurtured in the Augean stables of national corruption (CIA’s drug trade, Iran-Contra etc), trained as anti-communists in xenophobic camps during the 80s, and used as human cannon fodder against the USSR by the likes of the hedonistic Charlie Wilson who were luxuriating in leafy complexes on the Potomic. “Collective guilt” has reached its final destination in the sepulcher of chauvinism. The notion of “Mass apologies” (for the crimes of others) has to be eviscerated and buried deep in the polyandrium of bigoted Jingoism. You are responsible for your actions and so am I. I am not responsible for the actions of everyone in New Jersey. I am also not responsible for the actions of everyone who claims to be a Muslim.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Some misquote the Quran and then builds the case about the entire religion. One could do the same for the Bible, picking up a few lines from Deuteronomy or Numbers and then making a case about the entire religion-bringing up Blood Libel and the Holocaust etc.

Every head of state, from Iran, to Indonesia, to Pakistan, to Egypt condemned 9/11 and violence against the innocent civilians. The OIC (Organization or Islamic Conferences), the Arab League, and every major Muslim politicians in the West and in the Muslim world condemned violence. The question is does every Muslim have to condemn violence. Does every Christian and every Jew asked to do the same each time there is a serial murder, or a gang bang or a rape in New York or LA?
