Tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing

“Life is but a walking shadow, a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury–signifying nothing” William Shakespeare in Macbeth

There are many actors in Pakistan. One if them is the crackpot called Qadri. He came from nowhere and has fast returned to his Canadian igloo called oblivion.

Qadris mental state of mind was in view for a month. His delusional thinking, his megalomania was so pathetic that no one could take it seriously. At one point he called the PM, the President and the MNAs as “Ex”–then the next day he proudly displayed a piece of paper signed by the Prime Minister.

He came, he saw, he hijacked many of the followers of the PTI, he created a lot of chaos, polluted politics and dirtied up the capital! He than capitulated and surrendered to those whom he had called “Yazid” and other epithets.

As expected Tehrik-i-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday announced his decision not to contest Pakistan’s upcoming general elections.

Me. Qadri correctly assessed that he had no future in Pakistani politics. Mr. Zardari must be praised in deftly dealing with the matter with brilliance and pizzaz.

He gave Qadri an agreement that wasn’t worth the piece of paper it was written on signed by one, t”he soon to be arrested” Raja who has not standing and won’t be around in a few weeks!

Bravo Mr Zardari! You extinguished a potential rival by a few words of praise for an idiot who thrived on praise

The Mentally unsound cleric led thousands of people to Islamabad last week, protesting for genuine electoral reforms. However his demands went from the bizarre to truly macabre. He put forward other unachievable items on his stupid agenda–all of which have now been placed into the dustbin of history!–and thank God for this!

Qadri called off the four-day sit-in after the federal government decided to accept some of his demands.

Mr Qadri cannot run as a parliamentarian in Pakistan (a pre-requisite for being elected as a prime minister) as a dual citizenship. He had a choice to run a political party like Nawaz Sharif of altar Husain or give up his loyalty to the Queen of England–the titular head if state of Canada.

In the end it became apparent that Mr. Qadri could not turn down his Canadian citizenship.

Mr Qadris pontificating about his future course of action came as no surprise to anyone. Rupee News watched and carefully analyzed the events–and are only commenting on Mr Qadri. We waited for the fog to clear before we delved into the fake “revolution” that never happened.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Qadri announced that neither he nor his family would take part in polls even if his party, the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT), decides to contest the general election.

There is no PAT. It does not exist. It is not even registered with the Election Commission. It’s a joke!

Qadri was busy talking about his fig leaf and saying “that his ‘party’ had started the consultation process with the government regarding electoral reforms.”

The media has already reported the details of Mr. Qadris itinerary and flights back to Canada.

Whether Mr Qadri was a trial balloon sent by the US/Canada or he was a facade for the establishment –this much is clear, Mr Sharif and Mr Zardari were shrewder enough to see the ruse. Mr Sharif called a meeting of the opposition and Mr Zardari reigned in his coalition. Wayward members like the MQM, PTI and AML were tethered and reeled in. Me Imran Khan supported Mr Qadri and the stepped back. His followers ignored the PTI directive
and marched for change! The MQM had a good time and “Mr Lal Haveli” just bought the denizens of Islamabad breakfast and lunch!

The bubble burst and Mr Qadri floated away like a kite, very much like Mr Anna Hazare in Bharat.
