The case against any new Operation in Waziristan by Aga Majid

Unfortunately in Pakistan, we tend to react or rather overreact, to blatant wrongs done by the usual suspects, TTP and their ilk. But, Malala’s situation may have a flip side and that lies in US desire for Pakistan Army to launch military operations in North Waziristan. US has seen the success of Pakistan army in decimating the Taliban in Swat. US forces have suffered heavy losses in the Afghan border region adjacent to North Waziristan. So, Uncle Sam wants Pakistan Army to do its dirty work.
So, in order to create public support for such an operation something horrendous had to happen in Pakistan. The public opinion which is 90 percent against the US and in favour of peace in FATA region had to change. What better way to do it than to create a galvanizing event like an attack on poor innocent, Gul Maki, Pakistan’s Daughter Malala. The Blowback of this event:Pakistan Army will have raison d’etre for North Waziristan operation with full Pakistani public support.

Thus US will kill two birds with one stone. Pakistan Army would get involved in fighting its own Waziri people on one front, and the pressure on US forces from cross border attacks by anti-US Taliban, will be released from across the border in Afghanistan. US has its own brand of Taliban agents recruited with the help of India and the former elements of Northern Alliance. These are the element of Ahmed Shah Masood’s tribe, who have been implicated in many bombings in Balochistan, KPHK, Punjab, and Karachi. The attack on N.Waziristan may still happen, while the iron is hot. Black operations are seldom launched on enemies, they are carried out on friends. Though, World War I was mainly between Germany, Britain and France, no americans were involved; but the sinking of Lusitania was a turning point in the war. Americans were outraged to learn 128 U.S. civilians were killed in a war in which they were officially neutral.

Destroying ships not known to be carrying war materials countered generally accepted international war protocols. The sinking of the Lusitania heightened tensions between the U.S. and Germany and helped sway American opinion in favor of joining the war. It was later learned that Lusitania was deliberately sunk by the British to bring America to fight Germany. Fifty years from now, who knows we may find a similar story about the heinous attack on Malala. Pakistan’s public opinion has swung overnight and the Radio Mulla, thought to be a RAW/US asset is claiming responsibility for Malala attack. Pakistan Army must do a CRITICAL ANALYSIS of these events and critically appraise, who is to gain most, if they use Malala’s attack as one of the reasons to go into the hornets nest of mountainous North Waziristan against its own people. Until the dust clears, lets not rush to judgement. Pakistan has been used and abused by these so called Western allies to accomplish their own global objectives. We have been bitten more than once, lets be twice as shy.

Also, lets not forget that there is a large presence of Israelis and Indians in Afghanistan, whose cunning black hand could be behind this event. Even during the time of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the axis of Jews-Christians-Polytheists against Islam was present. Fourteen hundred years has changed nothing. There is always some form of crusade going on against the Islamic world. Unfortunately, we beat our own chests and fight one another, for others to take advantage of our discord. More ever, our Deen itself has been hijacked by forces of darkness, whose irrational acts have resulted in its demonization around the globe
