The rocky road for the PPP continues. Corruption and incompetence of the government eroded into the rank and file of the party. In January 2011 Salman Taseer was assassinated. Raymond Davis killed two Pakistanis. A US vehice killed Ubaid Ur Rehman who was a bystander. Shah Mahmood Qureshi resigned over the Davis affair. Osama Bin Laden was killed. This was later. PNS Mehran was attacked and killed 15 Pakistanis.
Imran Khan emerged as a new phenomenon and a possible third force. The Pakistani economy began its growth to be listed by four major finance houses as the next eleven.
