Pakistani Hukmaraan / Government officials are asking Pakistanis to contribute towards the Flood Aid.
Pakistanis are contributing from all over the country and the Diaspora spread all over the world.
BUT a question needs to be asked…
We have seen the Saudi Embassy donate their wages towards the flood aid; the Pakistan Military donate their wages to aid the Flood victims. But where is our governments personal contribution, I have not heard anything from them.
Who owns all the large industries in this country?
Who owns the flour mills the wheat mills, sugar and cane mills in this nation etc?
The very people who are the caretakers of the current government or those in opposition are the rich elite that can do so much more to contribute towards the AID efforts.
Pakistani people would love to see the Zardari’s, Shareefs and Choudhary’s etc to make a gesture to the diligent, proud and courageous Pakistani population.
When will they open their doors and give to the effected Pakistanis.
When will they dig deep into their “own” pockets and set an example. The Pakistani public has lost all hope in the current Pakistani Government. It is identified as a show piece government that follows the will of foreign nations. The opposition parties minus Imran Khan are just as vile and unpatriotic.
Pakistan Government officials lead by example and some of these politicians are million if not billionaires.
What is this wealth worth if you are not going to use it on your own country and help your own people? The very people you have robbed from, now is the time to repay them.
We seek a better and bigger Pakistan, new infrastructure, gas, electricity lines, fibre optic lines, good structures built on strong foundations. Bigger and better regional central Hospitals, Colleges, Universities. Better roads, strong bridges, a network of damns and locks. Rebuild away from vulnerable spots and not on fault lines or away from longitude lines where HAARP centres sit on.
The catalyst for reconstruction should come from the government first and foremost and from the pockets of these rich landowners and politicians.
How much do you love PAKISTAN – I ask those rich land owners and government officials and Politicians who have for too long squandered the wealth of this great land.
We require concrete; transparent carefully laid out reconstruction plan from this government closely working with the honourable and brave Pakistani Military.
We want a full enquiry and to be made public onto how these floods happened.
Was it man made or natural this nation deserves to know.
Was it HAARP or did Indian Damn blocking the flow of the river Indus release water from Afghanistan and India into Indus flooding The Indus.
We need more from our rich, elite we need the government to be seen doing more.
I was as ever very happy to watch Zahid Hamid on Royal News 17th August 2010 – providing his strategic insight onto how Pakistan was flooded.

Pakistan needs a leader who can galvanise and unite this great, historic lands. We can rebuild bigger and better – we are the children of The Indus – nation builders, creators of civilisations. Our ancestors have flourished along the mighty Indus for over 9000 years.
A leader is a father to the nation who puts the “entire nations” interest before his own self-interest.
A leader is the one who “gives” and not the one who “takes”. The one who gives his life, his wealth and never asks anything back in return is a Baba a father.
This simple definition of a leader was eloquently defined by the late Ashfaq Ahmed, a humble sweet and wise soul may he rest in peace.
Our beloved Baba gee, Ashfaq Ahmed sahib did a memorable program on Baba’e Qaum Quaid’e Azam and Pakistan as precious as the Oontni (camel) of hadhrat. Sualeh (A.S) in Zavia series.
We need real leadership today to hold this nation together who will lead by example, which will inspire the disheartened disillusioned Pakistanis.
We need such a leader to “Put Pakistan – FIRST” – we can create an opportunity out of this tragedy to UNITE the proud people of Pakistan. They are a loyal and loving people who only want the respect and honour from those representing them.
They need hope, they need support and assurance and re-assurance that we will as a nation will turn a page from this dark chapter and build a bigger and better Pakistan. A Pakistan that will never have to see such a calamity again.
We need sincerity, simplicity and a genuine generosity in words and actions when representing Pakistan to the world.
We need an investigation into the cause of these floods also and we want our leaders to be bold, courageous and question the possible causes of this epic calamity of biblical proportion.
step up and rise to the challenge – if ever we needed a decisive leadership it was today. Look at the leaders of yesteryear who stood up and faced the eye of the storm and rose to the challenge showing great courage, diplomacy and leadership.
The greatest was our Quaid-e-Azzam, he gave everything for this glorious land, his wealth, his life. We have the likes of our humble and sweet Nawab Liaqat Ali Khan who gave his wealth, and life for this nation. We had General Ayub Khan whom stood firm and resolute and brought the nation together in 1965. Z.A Bhutto the founder of PPP a charismatic, vociferous leader who stood up to all those seeking to subdue and hegemonise this great land. Then we had General Zia Ul Haq, that brought glory to Pakistan and saved us from a huge pending Soviet threat and a looming threat on our Eastern Border in the 1980?s. We should also remember the late Shaheed DSI ISI General Rehman also who kept Pakistan safe and secure and lost his life in this noble cause.
We are a nation of sacrifice, sacrifice is not a new a new concept to this wonderful land, look at all those great shaheeds (martyrs) of this great land
Is there anyone in our leadership that can step forward and be “our Baba” in our time of need and speak for the people of Pakistan, the greatest wealth in this resource rich historic land.
To quote from our greatest Baba Al Quaid:
“Expect the best, Prepare for the worst”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“Failure is a word unknown to me”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilise all our resources in a systematic and organised way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope other will share with us”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“That freedom can never be attained by a nation without suffering and sacrifice has been amply borne out by the recent tragic happenings in this subcontinent”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
“With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve”.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Pakistani Leadership please lead by example, this nation has always seen difficult times and through unity it has overcome all obstacles against all odds. Pakistan is our miracle against all odds to Muslims we recognise this as a blessing and the will of Allah Azuwajjal.
Do not tarnish the idea of Pakistan, sacrifice of Pakistan, destiny of Pakistan and generosity of Pakistanis.
Pakistan is a great nation by virtue of its proudest asset – it’s people. Leaders are fathers and must look after their flock, their children.
Find Mohammed Ali Jinnah within you and rebuild a bigger and better Pakistan.
‘Few individuals significantly alter the course of history.
Fewer still modify the map of the world.
Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammed Ali Jinnah did all three.’
