While Delhi is losing its battle with Pakistan in Afghanistan–it is focusing its attention in Bangladesh. First it engineered a judicial coup which allowed the Awami League to win. 14 million BNP supporter voters were disenfranchised. Then the Jamaat e Islami was banned by Hasina Wajed. Now the Awami League has given transit trade facilities to Bharat–a move that has been resisted by Bangladeshi patriots for the past several decades.
The Awami League is opening an embassy in Kabul. Is this an embassy or an Indian listening post?

On July 31 Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni in Dhaka stated that we have decided to reopen Bangladesh embassy in Afghanistan shortly. The process has been initiated and good news will be shared. According to the minister an official team will visit Kabul to select the mission building offered by Afghanistan. Bangladesh mission in Kabul was shut down sometime in 1989. Bangladesh embassy or consulates would be opened in Brazil, Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone and Portugal. Presently, Bangladesh has 47 missions abroad. She said it is necessary to expand Bangladesh missions abroad considering the interest of Bangladeshi citizens living there and enhancing economic cooperation.

I am born and brought up in Assam. My father is a retired Assam Govt Official. I have travelled extensively to all seven states in North East of India (I dont think you can even name all the states forget about writing on them).
So definitely I know about Assam and seven states 1000 times better than you.
There were militant activities on rise during 80s and early 90s, but at present apart from Manipur and to some extent Nagaland (NSCN is on a cease fire and is holding talks with Govt of India). rest of all NOrth East is 10000 times peaceful than what is happening in all the cities of Pakistan today. Most of the leaders of ULFA(United Liberation Front of Assam) have either surrendered to Govt and has returned to mainstream and rest are awaiting trial in Jail (except the C-in-C who is on a run after driven out of bangladesh).
I bet you wont find a single people talking againt India. Ya there is hatred and anger for Govt policies and actions which i believe is there in every country againt their Govt. But no one wants separation from India.
Also development activities is happening across North East at a faster pace which has changed the mindset of the people there.
So unless you are aware of the ground realities, you cannot comment on such thing.

These groups are active in Assam, Manipur and Tripura. As part of the boycott call Aug 15, the militant groups have called for a general strike from 1.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Sunday.
Militant groups in the northeast have for years boycotted national events to protest New Delhi’s rule over the region.

GUWAHATI, Aug 9 – The police and security forces today decided to intensify counter-insurgency operations to prevent militants from indulging in any act of violence during the run up to the Independence Day celebrations.
Security sources told The Assam Tribune that the operational group of the Unified Command today met at the Army base in Narengi to review the overall law and order situation in the state and to evolve measures to deal with the situation. Sources said that the meeting, chaired by the GOC of the 4 Corps of the Army, reviewed the threat posed by militant groups like the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) and the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB).
Sources said that the meeting discussed the inputs received by different forces on the possibilities of attacks by the ultras and discussed steps need to be taken to deal with the situation. The recent attacks on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) by the ULFA in Goalpara district and on the SSB personnel by the NDFB in Chirang were discussed and it was decided that all the forces should remain alert round the clock to thwart any attack by the militants.
It may be mentioned here that the ULFA and the anti-talk faction of the NDFB have become active in recent days in an apparent bid to create disturbance in the run up to the Independence Day celebrations. The police and security forces also managed to intercept some messages by the leaders of the outfits, which exposed the game plan of the outfits. Guwahati, August 10 (IBNS) : An employee of Coca Cola company was gunned down by suspected Bodo rebels in Assam’s main city Guwahati on Tuesday morning, police said.
“Keshab Phukan (28), employee of Coca Cola company, was shot from very close range by two suspected Bodo militants, who came on a motorcycle with small weapons, in the busy R.G. Baruah Road near nursery around 11 a.m, when he was on way to the Punjab National Bank to deposit cash,” said a senior police official.
Phukan was immediately rushed to International Hospital, but was declared ‘brought dead’ by doctors.

Indian troops killed in explosion
Five paramilitary troops have died in an explosion in India’s north-eastern state of Assam, officials said.
Assam’s main rebel group, United Liberation Front of Assam (Ulfa), has claimed responsibility.
Several other troops and 20 civilians were injured in the blast that hit a security convoy at Dhalukdubi in Goalpara district bordering Bangladesh.
Officials said that an “indigenous” explosive device triggered off by remote control caused the blast.

In case of India, its all different, people speak different languages, diff culture, diff values are still living together for last 63 years.
