ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday successfully launched the production project of avionics for the fighter jet (JF-17 Thunder) at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, speaking as chief guest on the historic occasion, said, “a strong air force is essential for our nation’s survival; therefore, self-reliance for PAF (Pakistan Air Force) is an important factor. Tellingly, U.S. officials and their acolytes in the Fawning Corporate Media (FCM) could not bring themselves to believe that Brazil and Turkey would dare pursue an agreement with Iran after Clinton and President Barack Obama said not to.

The ghosts that haunt Senator John McCain are about 600 in number and right now they are mustering for an onslaught. McCain, one of America’s foremost Republicans and President Barack Obama’s opponent in 2008, is currently locked in a desperate bid for political survival in his home state of Arizona. After 20 years of immunity from challenge from his fellow Republicans, he’s now involved in a close primary battle with J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman turned radio broadcaster who sports the Tea Party label. Hayworth says McCain is a fake Republican, soft on issues like immigration. The polls have been tightening, and if McCain got bludgeoned by some new disclosure, it could finish him off.

As it happens, other officials have acknowledged that the EU institutions are preparing a blueprint for extending the scope of its scientific research programs into more hardcore military research.

Recognizing that Israel is itching for revenge after its July 2006 assault failed to eliminate the strength or popularity of Hezbollah and that an attack will involve a manufactured pretext (like the Scud missile allegations), Hariri knows Lebanon’s economically vital summer tourist season could be when they elect to strike again. The alternating cycle of tears and celebration to which Lebanon has grown accustom may not be over yet.

The greatest concern is the announcement that Israeli ‘citizens’ are preparing to sail with hundreds of boats to confront us. This is of concern since this may provide an excuse for the Israeli navy to intervene under the pretext of aiding its citizens. However, this contingent is likely to be made up of the most extreme elements of Israeli society, namely the illegal colonists. The very same ones who shot dead a 16-year-old boy — Aysar Zaben on May 13 this year, because he threw stones at their car. Colonist violence is commonplace in the Occupied Territories and as a result they heap further misery on the Palestinian people. If these are the ones who will challenge the Freedom Flotilla, they will be interested only in maintaining the oppression that allows them to live illegally on Palestinian land. They do not play by the rules and have little regard for life or property that is not theirs.

“I join my voice with many others around the world, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Mordechai Vanunu. The restrictions put on Mordechai Vanunu are not parole restrictions since he served his full18 year term. These restrictions arbitrarily limit his right to freedom of movement, expression and association, and are therefore in breach of International Law.
