Why did Rehman Malik release arrested Blackwater spies?

Pakistan’s interior Minster, who was in charge of the security of Benazir Bhutto on the night of her assassination got promoted after her murder. The Interior Minister who promised to resign if there was proof of any presence of Blackwater/Xe/DynaCorp in Pakistan. Well it so happens that there is proof, and the CIA confirmed the fact. The proof is available by two sources. The head of Blackwater confessed to Blackwater employees working for the CIA in Pakistan. The other proof comes from the CIA itself which last week canceled the contract with Blackwater on a Pakistani Air Force base. What is most egregious about the stories and the confirmation about the presence of US spies is the fact that the Federal Government lies about it.

Proof of Blackwater presence in Pakistan: Mr. Rehmsn resign like you promised

The worst part of the  story is that the head of Blackwater says that its employees were carrying out sabotage and murder in Afghanistan and Pakistan–one target was A.Q. Khan.

Ansar Barni a civil rights activists and patriotic Pakistan has provided Ahmed Qureshi letters from the US Ambassador to the Interior Ministry asking them to allow Dynacorp etc to own advanced weapons which are prohibited in Pakistan.

These assassin are roaming about Pakistan as if they own the cities. The local law enforcement authorities are not allowed to search their cars. Try that in Washington Mr. Rehman!

Americans continue mocking Pakistani law LAHORE – Security agencies have arrested four Cobra operatives, suspected to be linked with notorious American spy agency Blackwater, while they were trying to force their entry into Lahore Cantonment on Saturday.
Well-placed sources disclosed to TheNation that the security personnel recovered lethal weapons including AK-47 rifles and spy gadgets from their possession at a checkpost near Sherpao Bridge.

The law-enforcement agencies had been put on high alert across the provincial metropolis and armed patrolling had been intensified, following the twin suicide terrorist attacks at Moon Market last week, which had killed over 50 people.

Sources claimed that the alleged arrested members of the notorious spy agency were taken to some unknown place for further interrogation after they failed to produce necessary documents and the purpose of entering into the most sensitive area in the City.

Some foreigners have taken residential apartments on rent in Cantonment area and the search operation is underway to keep a check on their activities, the sources added.

According to details, security agency personnel intercepted a suspected vehicle near Sherpao Bridge. Four persons apparently foreigners were inside the four-wheeler.

‘The suspects did not allow snap-checking as the security personnel had asked them to prove their identity and show other documents.’
The sources further revealed that the suspects started arguing with the law-enforcing agency officials as more security officials reached the spot soon after the incident.

The security officials also recovered lethal weapons including AK-47 rifles and spy devices like surveillance cameras, laptops and other equipment from their possession.

A police official, requesting his name not be mentioned, confirmed that the security officials had intercepted the suspected vehicle at Sherpao Bridge during routine checking. However, he did not mention further details regarding the recovery of lethal weapons.

Another police official said that the vehicle was released later on the intervention of federal government.

Operations Police Chief Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed was not available for comments despite repeated contacts.
In another incident, the police also detained a suspected vehicle near Shimla Hill on Saturday but later the vehicle was released on the intervention of US Consulate high-ups.

The persons who were inside the vehicle refused to allow snap-checking. Some staff members of the US Consulate reached the spot and later the vehicle was released.

When contacted, a spokesperson of US Consulate said that the vehicle stopped near Shimla Hill belonged to the Consulate. He said that the police had stopped the vehicle only for five minutes and later it was released.
However, about the second vehicle intercepted near Sherpao Bridge, the spokesperson said that he did not know anything it. ‘That does not belong to US Consulate and I don’t know anything about that,’ he added.

Commenting on the development a retired security agency officer feared that such incidents might turn into turmoil at some point of time.
He explained that reportedly some foreigners were found misbehaving with security personnel during snap-checking and they might face retaliation.
On the other hand, the suspicious movements of foreigners in four-wheel-drive vehicles have shocked the citizens, civil society and religious organisations, as they demanded the government to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of such suspected elements.

They also said that the foreigners should also be treated like an ordinary person according to the law.

It is important to mention here that the security agencies have intercepted several suspected vehicles of foreigners at various check-posts in the City during the last couple of days.

These vehicles had fake number plates and registration numbers
