  1. Dr abdul jamil khan says:

    Dear Moin sahab,
This is really heart wrenching and and agree with your conclusions. But you seem to forget the India alwayes been in need of fresh import of new ideas
both secular and spiritual; Most fundamental was Islam according to Dr Tarachdra. It impacted positively
on hinduism and india Inc. British too made an impact.
If you go back ( see my book) this is the way India evolved cumulatively and refreshed always by arab
mideast, well documented since abt 10,000 yrs.
Yes ,hindus are self glorifying stubborn group like most others but to cure /fix them one needs understanding which most muslims had starting from
Mehmood Gaznzvi . Muslims have a major role in the
south asia to bring “human equity and dignity”. Hinduism by definition excludes itself from this role. But muslims need to heal themself. They behave exactly like their hindu ancesters and do have a thriving ” vedic democracy/elite gangsterism”in pakistan and entire south asia. Yes politics aside you do have responsibility/challenge–this is islamic duty as well.
