Since 1967 when Israel attacked and occupied the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, the Western powers, and the US have been playing games with the lives of millions of people. It would be actually more accurate to state, that these games have been played since 1917 when the infamous Balfour Declaration was passed. The double-faced British at the time were telling the Arabs that they would never allow a Jewish entity in the middle of the Arab heartland while assuring the Jews that Israel would be formed in part of Palestine (the entire area was called Palestine). Palestine was named after a Roman Empress Philistina. Her statue is a prominent statue on the Roman Forum even today. The Palestinians were the original inhabitants of the area and went under various named, Cannonites, Philistense etc.
ISRAELI PRIME minister Binyamin Netanyahu yesterday rejected American calls to halt Jewish construction in Arab east Jerusalem, stressing that Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem was not up for discussion.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem July 19, 2009. Netanyahu, saying he would not take orders over Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem, rejected on Sunday a U.S. demand to halt plans to build more homes for Jews in the disputed area. (REUTERS/David Silverman/Pool)His comments at the weekly Israeli cabinet meeting came after Israel’s ambassador to Washington, Michael Oren, was summoned to the state department and told that the Obama administration opposed Israeli plans to build at the site of the historic Shepherd’s hotel in the capital’s Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.
The latest dispute between Washington and Jerusalem follows months of tension over the American demand that Israel stop all building on West Bank Jewish settlements.
Contacts between the sides continue, but so far no compromise has been reached.
Mr Netanyahu told ministers that Jerusalem is the unified capital of Israel, and just as Arabs can purchase buildings in the western, Jewish areas, there is no ban on Jews buying or building apartments in the Arab, eastern part of the city.
“This is the policy of an open city, an undivided city that has no separation according to religion or national affiliation,” he stressed.
State department officials intervened following warnings from Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas that Israeli construction in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood would alter the demographic balance in Israel’s capital.

While President Obama’s tone on Palestine is markedly different than that of President Bush, the rhetoric coming out of Tel Aviv is avidly more aggressive and more strident and more venomous. Some may consider Prime Minister BB Natenyahu’s speech conciliatory, but his actions on the ground belie any verbosity that may emanate from Mr. Lieberman or the Israeli spokesman.
Israel has not dove in government now. Saints like Uri Avnery and Rabbi Michael Lerner are marginalized and have no influence on the politics of Israel. Today the European born Jews no longer rule Israel. It is the locally born Jews (who used to be callled Arab Jews) who are in power in Israel. They have dreams of ruling or at least influencing the area from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Always thought that what if pakistan was there in middle east and we would have been a real power there and zionism would have been history a long time ago. But now i have started to realise that we dont deserve such a glory, and we dont deserve to remind our palestinian friends on youtube comments that wait pakistanis will come for help. As PAKISTANIS are unable to control our own region which is too easy to control.
We Pakistanis have a huge network of power in our region like a giant friend like china, huge support of sikhs ready for our signal to create khalistan, khashmiris ready for our intervention, pakhtoons in afghanistan ready to die for us, 170 million of pakistani who UNLIKE present arab people ready to give their life at one speech of their leader, more then 180 million of indian muslims ready for us to take charge. I have not counted hundreds of millions of dalits in india, millions and millions of moists in india and afghanis who are willing to give afghanistan to pakistan for a greater cause.
Still hillary clinton goes to india takes questions from every one, meets with their actors, visits the place where false flag operation was conducted and at the end of the day tells a journalist that people who conducted 9/11 are in pakistan and its a matter of grave convern for them.
Wowww. it was huge. Huge coz she said it in india. Our government silent, when comes to squezing money they have a natural ability to bark for more then a year continuously but when comes the matter of pakistan’s integrity it feels like as if somthing has stuck up their ass and mouth at the same time.
Mr moin, a country like china, pakistan and iran with huge population and huge potential cannot do a thing “openly”. Bad cop will always be a good cop. U see unless one accuses bad cop openly and case is heard openly in front of every one regardless of consequences; then one can say that he is a bad cop. US and isreal are good cops, they were never bad. Good till i guess, they are healthy, wealthy and wise.
Healthy coz no one has guts to counter them, wealthy coz our leaders give sell our blood money to them and wise coz they have the ability to return the fraction of tht money that goes in the pockets of our leaders.
Till all this reverses i will say to my palestinian brothers ” Pakistanis love you and we will do what it takes to help u” right now we are praying, first for ourselves.
Pakistan lives in the toughest neighborhood in the world. Bharat is bent upon regional domination kept in check by Pakistan. Of the dozens of oil rich states in the Middle East, none could produce the bombs, missiles, tanks and planes which Pakistan will soon be exporting. It is Pakistan that keeps others in check. The media portrays a different picture than reality.
Hillary’s trip to Bharat should be seen in the following light.
1) Her only purpose was commercial and a show.
2) She bluntly told Bharat that it needs to layoff Pakistan
3) Bharati diplomacy has failed to berate Pakistan. The US tripled aid as did Japan, and the UK etc.
4) There was nothing mutual about the trip..only sell sell sell…and rope the Bharati nukes bvia the Hyde Amendment
5) There were sever differences much discussin the Western press on the invirnoment, on reducing Bharati role in Afghanistan, or asking Bharat to solve Kashmir, on removing forces from the Pakistan border
We agree with you, there is huge pressures on Pakistan. It is up to pepole like you to keep up the good work and help raise the right questions, and keep them honest.
