Mr. Sarkozi is facing increasing pressure from the French about withdrawl of French troops from Afghanistan. One of the reasons given by Mr. Sarkozi for staying in Afghanistan is the nuclear prowess of Pakistan. One could ask what does Pakistan’s nuclear arms have to do with the price of rice in China?

DAMASCUS (AFP) – France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Thursday that pulling out of Afghanistan, where 10 French troops were killed by the Taliban last month, would amount to abandoning nuclear-armed Pakistan.

“If we abandon Afghanistan we will be abandoning Pakistan, which doesn’t need that. I want to remind you of one thing: that Pakistan has the nuclear bomb,” he told reporters before winding up a visit to the Syrian capital.

 ”I want to say to the French that my conviction has not changed,” he said

A Taliban ambush followed by intense fighting in the Sarobi district near the Afghan capital Kabul on August 18 and 19 left 10 French soldiers dead and 21 wounded.The attack prompted a public outcry in France, with some calling for the immediate withdrawal of the 3,000 French troops serving in the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force.

“If almost all democracies are down there, if (US presidential candidate) Barack Obama has made the presence in Afghanistan the centrepiece of his election campaign… he must have a good reason,” Sarkozy said.

“Our soldiers, by fighting terrorists down there, are protecting us here. We must understand that terrorism is a global movement.”

The French are facing the music in Afghanistan becuase they are occupying the country. Pakistani nuclear arms are to defend Pakistan. Perhaps Mr. Sarkize is saying that the French are in Afghanistan to snatch the 250 nuclear bombs that Pakistan possesses?

Mr. Sarkozi has been toeing the Neocon line and faces a huge downturn in his approval ratings in France. He is of Jewish extract and has tried to realign France towards American interests. His election was a result of the rioting in Paris which has been a subject of much debate in the media.

If so, this is a declaration of war, and Pakistan could react to the French threat.

A new book in Germany is casting light on Israel’s covert program to provoke violence among Muslims in Western Europe and engage in “false flag” operations in order for Western governments to blame Muslim radicals. Ulfkotte claims that British and German intelligence agents encountered Metsada and LAP agents in France stirring up violence during the November 2005 riots, blamed on Islamic extremists. WMR has also reported that Interior Minister and presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy, who is supported by pro-right wing Israeli (Likud/Netanyahu/Olmert) factions in France, coordinated and continues to coordinate the paying of agents provocateurs to engage in violence in the predominantly Muslim Banlieus of Paris and other cities.
