It may surprise many, but the are of highest concern is not Kashmir, but the rising tide of communalism, Anti-Christian, Anti-Dalit, and Anti-Muslim. The Naxalite insurrection led by Dalits and Maoists that comprises more than 40% of the landmass of the country.Three major groups – Maoist Communist Centre, People’s War Group and CPI (ML) – have merged to form a united outfit called CPI (Maoist). It affirmed: The revolution will be carried out and completed through armed agrarian revolutionary war; that is, protracted people’s war with the armed seizure of power remaining as its central and principal task, encircling the cities from the countryside and thereby finally capturing them.”

Kashmir was concerned as the biggest threat to the country’s unity but in recent years, many in New Delhi thought that they had swollowed Srinagar. Kashmir is in fever pitch. This year’s insrurrection caught them by sruprise. the Divide between Jammu and Kashmir now is irrerable and even the puppet Farooq Abdullah who sold his soul to Delhi for a few Dollars and a title, says “Kashmir will go on a platter to Pakistan.” Paper Tigers: Indian tenuous “hold” on Kashmir is slipping fast

The third are of security conern for New Delhi is open rebellion in the Northeast. These insurections do not make it to the daily headlines on CNN, but the fact is the New Delhi has very little control of Assam and the seven sisters that lie East of Bangadesh. Even Chinese occupied territory mislabeled “Aranchal Pradesh” has a huge body of rebels that want nothing to do with Delhi.

Communalism is a big threat to the so called “secular” country. Brahmans in Jammu in 2008 led a boycott of Kashmir forcing the Kashmiris to strive to trade directly with Pakistan. Church burning in Orissa are problem exacerbated by the sepratists who strive for freedom from Delhi. The Gujarits Hinduvata massacred 3000 Muslims and hundreds of thousands are scared to goback to their homes.

The land of Gandhi, the secular state is falling apart.

For the insurrection in Kashmir, New Delhi blames Pakistan. For the insurrction in the seven sisters, New Delhi blames Bangladesh. For the Naxalite insurrection, Delhi blames China. Bad priorities and an inflated ego keeps Dlehi in perpetual war (and border disputes) with all her neighbors, China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, and Pakistan. India is spending $3 Billion on an Aircraft carrier, and $126 Billion on purchase of fighter aricraft–while low tech weopens used by the Naxalites are keeping the Indian army at bay. Stones and slogans keep 800,000 Indian soldiers occupied in Kashmir. So much for the “largest democracy” in the world. Behold a “demcoracy” where more than 60% of the country is in the hands of the rebels.

40% of the Indian land mass is not in the hands of the Central governement, but in the hands of Naxalites.

India intelligence: “‘the aim of RAW is to keep internal disturbances flaring up and the ISI preoccupied so that Pakistan can lend no worthwhile resistance to Indian designs in the region.”

BBC on August 30 quoted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as saying that “the Maoist insurgency is the single biggest threat to India’s security.” Chief of Indian Army Gen Joginder sharing the concern of the Prime Minister had said, “Indian Army is keeping a close watch on Maoist rebels operating in the country’s eastern, central and southern states,” in the wake of rising attacks and violence that posed a serious security threat.

INDIA’S SECURITY CONCERNS
The Indian Home Ministry published a report on August 29 raising security concern of the region. The report identified ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) of Pakistan as the biggest security threat to India. India’s frustrated NSA blusters… “Destroy the ISI”

However, communal problem remains endemic in India. Apart from Kashmir where Muslims are subjected to persecution, communal violence frequently flares up in different states when the minority communities are butchered shaking the very roots of secular India. Orissa is the latest example where scores of Christians have been killed since communal violence erupted on August 23. Tens of thousands fled homes and 45,000 Christian schools closed across India.

Christian homes are being torched as well after being pillaged; villages are coming under siege and schools are attacked. For many people nearby forests are the only place of safety but they lack food and shelter. Hindu groups torched a good number of Churches inciting street protests from Christian community.
The Reuters reported last week that Hindu mobs destroyed more than a dozen churches and attacked Christians in eastern Orissa state after the murder of a Hindu leader in Kandhamal district, a tribal area where Christian missionaries have been active for years.

A Catholic daily published from New Delhi reported on September 1, “Tens of thousands of Christians persecuted by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal fled homes for fear of lives. Some 45,000 Christian schools and most of the Churches were closed. A priest from Bhuvenswar dashed to New Delhi and pleaded in vain with the President and the Prime Minister to stop the carnage. “For 8 days killing of Christians and torching their homes continued …We will have no option but to raise Suraksha Vahini (militia force) for our security,” the priest told the newsmen. He declined to give his name saying he is under threat of life by VHP cadres.
The Indian Home Ministry report, believed to be based on intelligence gathered by its agencies, should raise serious security concern for not India alone but all the countries of the region. “Terror groups backed by Pakistan’s ISI spy agency could use chemical, biological, nuclear or radiological weapons against India, initiating a form of ‘super terrorism’, the report said.
Ladakh has a Muslim majority map. Kashmir valley map
It said ISI has been expanding its networks in India from Jammu and Kashmir to down south. “Active terror modules are mushrooming in Bihar, Assam and West Bengal where the sleeper cells have been assigned with specific targets.”The report cautions that ISI moles may also use aircraft, buses or other means which are commonly available to cause heavy casualties. “Various insurgent groups active in Bangladesh are under the shadow control of ISI … South India too is an important part of the overall ISI game-plan since it is being targeted to recruit unemployed youths,” added the report.
Mr Jagmohan, a former governor of Jammu & Kashmir and former union minister gave a resume of the rapid growth of Maoist raising security threat to India. He wrote under the heading ‘Maoist movement has entered a stronger phase’ (February 2, 2008),

While the Maoists have carried out spectacular attacks and did disrupt polls to some extent, they were not fully successful in effecting a boycott. Voter turnout in the constituencies worst hit by Maoist violence was a respectable 50%.

Maoist influence runs through a stretch of territory referred to as the “Red Corridor”. This extends from the Telangana region in Andhra Pradesh through Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand up to Bihar. Areas in western Orissa and eastern Uttar Pradesh are also under Maoist influence. And they have some presence in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as well.

The area where the Maoists operate has grown dramatically in recent years. In the early 1990s the number of districts affected by varying degrees of Maoist violence stood at just 15 in four states. This rose to 55 districts in nine states by the end of 2003 and to 156 districts in 13 states in 2004. Maoists are believed to be operating now in around 200 districts (of a total of 602 districts in the country) in 17 states.

Government officials point out that these statistics and the name Red Corridor have conjured up images of Maoists being in control of a large swathe of land and posing a threat to the Indian state…

…The Maoists have also been blowing up power lines and service towers. In May 2007, they blew up three 132 KVA high-tension towers in the Bastar region, plunging six districts into darkness for a week and disrupting normal power distribution for a fortnight. “Functioning of hospitals, communication systems and rail traffic, besides iron ore mines was badly affected,” Ramana points out. In June of last year, two 220 KVA towers were blasted depriving 15,000 villages of electricity.

Maoists have displayed their military capability through their high-profile attacks on railways and other infrastructure. They have been able to inflict losses running into millions of dollars on the state they are seeking to overthrow. Maoists rule India’s ‘Red Corridor’

CPI (Maoist) declared, “It supports the struggle of the sub-nationalities for self-determination, including the right to secession.”The concern of security threat has redoubled in India following the Maoist election victory in next door neighbour Nepal. Former Foreign Minister Mr Jaswant Singh on June 2 cautioned: Indian Maoists of the red-corridor are known to have close contacts with Nepalese Maoist. A collusion of the Maoist of the two countries would pose greater security threat to India.” Which is more perilous: Communalism or Maoism? Shamsuddin Ahmed: Which poses the greatest security threat to India? Maoism, Pakistan’s secret agency ISI or communalism?
The Indian Institute of Conflict Management reports that Maoists have gain grounds in 192 districts of 16 States. They are well organized and more active in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh states.
At least 12 police officers were killed early this week in mine blasts planted by the Maoists rebels in a remote area of Jharkhand.
Naredar Modi is an admirer of Hitler as is the BJP. Hindu safron flag with Modi and Jindal: The Gujarat pogram did not happen in isolation it was funded by US Hunduvata as identified by Bijjou Mathew
Meanwhile, communal strife has posed no less a threat to the security of India. Protracted independence struggle in Kashmir has led to the persecution of Muslims. Communal violence, frequent across the country, has shaken the very basis of secular India. The 2002 pogrom of Gujarat is still fresh in many Indian minds. More than 2000 Muslims were killed, women raped, homes and shops plundered inviting condemnation from across the world.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad and its militant wing Bajrang Dal preaching Hinduata have posed threat to life and property of the minorities. The latest example is Orissa where scores of Christians have been killed since August 23.     http://www.weeklyholiday.net/front.html#01

    hi guys

this is my first blog on this site i have been reading articles on this site last 4/5 days and i have found thos site quite anti indian i mean in india too the press is quite ani pakistan but hers ita little too much that even a pakistani reading it will think twice before beleiving it

at least the educated who have acess to other news channels from other countries,
the me moin articles take the cake

now regarding the above article yes whatever is been said is true to a little extent not as bad as been written

, every article says the dalit are slaughtered ect in india yes they face a lot of problem but not as the article suggest if that waas the case there would have been a civil war, as per your papaer the constitute 450 millin peopls
then muslim problem like the pak beleives they are beeing killed indiscrinetly ect ect they are 200 million

christioan are ben burnet alive ect 30 million people

sikhc third class citizen and dicrminated agaist 30 million peopls

NE atated the 7 sisters aroung another 30 million

jains now problem with them 20 million ppl

then the tamils revolt as your papers says 60 million

this makes 820 million people now they are all against the indian union and in return are killied and slaughtered and in return they are revolting in against the govt and killing the indian soulders and policemen and its is total chaos in indian

the above constitute almost 70% of the population

now my question is this can the balace hindus do waht pakistan suggest control all the others

i leave it to you to make the calculations

yes we have problems but nothing serious that it cannot be managed

    now a little details

    our PM is a sikh
the president of the most powerful party is catholic
dalit is the cheif minister of the most powerful state whose population is more then pakistan Uthar Pradesh
a dalit is also the speaker of the house
the govet at present is formed with the support of the Tamil parties at the centre

we have the higest economic growthe in the world after China will itbe possible if we had problem as pakistan insistes we have

the military is made of every cast creed and religion
christian form 4% of the force, sikhs 5%, muslims 3%dalits 40% NE makes 2 % tamils 4%, we even have kashmiri muslims all this make more then 60%
is it possible to have an army with so many people from oppressed class and still opress and kill and rape them, thee above figurs is also the same in the police force, the persentace is slightly different

well now you guys can do the maths of what is possible nadbollywood, the

now look at boolywood, our space programme, or IT export, our balance of payment siyuation, or foreingh exchage reserves our expediture on education and defence ect
and then you will know if we are a failed states as the article implies or a sucessful democracy with lots of problem

and unlike pakistan we have no ristriction on who can hold the higest office in the land
    we had

    3 muslim presedent
    sikh president
dalit speakers 2, christian and shikh comander in cheif of the army, muslims chief ministers, top muslim indrialist the richest man in india Mr AZIM, to actors are musilms ect ect

well if we have all this there maybe something india is doing right

    what do you guys say

    cheers

    Richie Rodrigues

    • Moin Ansari says:

Inabaility to read any criticism of Bharat says a lot about the temple education there. Here we go again, the brainwashed children of the Hindu Mahasab begin repeating the same of same old.

So le me get this… just because a token Myawati is (s)elected in the UP–this absolves everyoneone to continue to enslave 450 million Dalits and Sudras

Just becuase there is a token Catholic has been (s)elected then the murder nad arson in Orrisa is forgotten.

      This is convulated logic

Please visit the Khalistan sites as well as the Dalit Freedom Network to see how the minorities feel. Watch the stories about the Naxals to see thier lot. Tokenism may be good for PR but doesn’t prove anything. Electing Azad as president of Indian National Congress (INC) did not get the INC the Muslim vote.

Tokenism does not wish away the Untouchability, the massacre of 10 million girls before and after brith

  2. Subbu says:

I totally agree with Richie Rodrigues. This website is genuinely an anti-India. Iet it be. But, depicting such stories or rather exaggerating such stories is aimed to attract anti-India feelings among Pakistani educated populace and others who by chance happen to view this website. While there are some facts based on publications of our own Indian media reports, this website editor has used for his ‘imaginative stories’. Now, I understand why people of Pakistan hate India so much. Uneducated people are indoctrinated by depicting this untruely events and stories. This is why emotional Muslim people tend to take arms against India by believing such fabricated stories.
I request the editor of this website and the contributor of these article (stories), please come India and see for yourself what is India and how Indian people live in peace. Every country has their own problem. But the degree varies. Our own body has problems no one is perfect. Likewise no country is perfect. We can proudly say India is a secular democracy and a rising power in the region behind China. But, go to China and see for yourself what kind of political system they have. and what kind of human rights they get. Without democracy and human rights China will never be a great country.
Pakistan controlled by its own religious rules and laws will never be in par with the ‘Great India’. Please instead envying India try to learn from India that how people of Different ethnicity, language, caste, religion can live in ‘near perfect’ harmony.
By the way, I myself is a one of above mentioned categories’ minority. And, ther are problems in India as other countries have, but they are not as severe as projected by this website. Plase get out of your anti-India mind set start observing everything objectively. Do not mislead people with your stupid articles.

    • We do not accept free advice, specially from people who not use their real names. How many different names will you use “Richie”. Its same old folk who are abusive, nasty have nothing to add, and they keep posting inane flame baits. Their only reaction to the factual reporting– is to blame someone else.

      Bharat is in self-denial.

The picture that they see in the mirror is so ugly that they refuse to look at it. This a national issue for Bharatis–they learn not to see the poverty and the penury around them. The are incapable of introspection or self-criticism.

They are in in a delusion of some sort of superpower hallucination. They are very proud of “democracy” but cannot accept the verdict of the 1946 elections. They are proud of elections, but are incapable of accepting another’s point of view.

The post falls back to their temple indoctrination—stereotyping Muslims, Islam, and hence Pakistan. The bigotry in these posts are not an anomaly–this is a depiction of the ethos of Bharati society. Even educated doctors fall into the same trap of stereotyping all Muslims as emotional and unintelligent.

As a social experiment, the racism on these posts is a clear indication on the falsehood of Bharati claims of secularism and tolerance. Tokenism cannot be confused with actual parity or balance.

The sheer weight of Bharati animosity towards China, Pakistan, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Lanka and even Bangladesh is mind boggling. This attitude keeps Bharat embroiled in petty conflicts which every other country of the world has resolved. Bharat is incapable of resolving the conflicts because of the mentality in comments above.

Invariably, there is no discussion, only flame baits thrown at the site, and the authors. The irrefutable facts cannot be challenged, many from Bharati sources–so they begin floundering here and there and “what about”. The knee jerk reaction is “what about Pakistan”–as if that would resolve the issue at hand. A demonized neighbor is a great scapegoat–unfortunately it does not solve Bharat’s immense problems.

We have been to Bharat–I distinctly remember my my impression when I landed in Mumbai and saw people defecating at the airport–not outside–inside the airport

The train ride also showed people lined up on the train track doing poo poo.

The first thing I noticed–which I was not prepared for was this wall of unimaginable poverty that hit us–harranged by hundred of beggars, and a throng of can drivers jostling for my fare.

I saw a vehicle that I had never seen before. They called it a “Cycle rickshaw” where an emaciated man with bones sticking out would pull up to four passengers and take him around town. This was the cheapest transport and thousands used it

They dilapidated cab–called “Hindustan” was aptly named because it depicted the country. The cab driver drove through an area called “Gharibabad”. Turned out this was where more than half the population of Mumbai lived.

At night I saw sidewalk full of people sleeping on them, elbowing each other for inches of space. Men, women and children lived on what they called “footpath”. The Pullulating millions sleeping on the sidewalks is the norm in Delhi, Mumbai, Benaras, Lucknow, Kolkota–to put insult to injury–the city charges rents from these poor souls.

I also remember naked men roaming about wearing nothing but paint on their foreheads–a throwback to the ancient jungle past. It turned out, these were the holy men who got free food and drinks.

After finishing eating t the Mcdonald, people ran to our table and scraped up the leftovers, and snatched the tray from me–before the guard could get to them

In Delhi, right next to the Presidential palace, there were rats, cows, and other animals roaming freely on the streets. Cows would stop traffic and o one would move them.

That is my impression of Incredible India. Nothing Anti-anything about this–we just reported the facts as we saw them

  3. SHAHNAZ ABDULLA says:

All Pakistanis are day dreaming.India is land of 20 crore Muslims more than Pakistani population. We the Muslims of India faced adverse situation after the partition and still facing. So at any cost at any circumstance we will not allow any further partition of our country.Indian Muslims are safe and enjoyed the democracy for more than sixty years which no other Muslim population can claim. There are problems but the problems can be overcome. You must remember Gateway to Islam to India is not Sindh but Kerala.

    • The Editors says:

Writing under a Muslim name doesn’t fool anyone. The name is also very strange and does not make sense.

The data in the article is irrefutable. There is nothing “Pakistani” about Justice Sachar.

We deal with facts on this site. Poetry is nice, but it cannot contradict cold hard data and statistics.

While the “kam ba ya” song looks great on paper–however the hard facts of the Justice Sachaar Report throw cold water on the “we are family” type of nonsense. The Sachar Report does not agree with the lollypops. Justice Sachaar clearly states that there is deep and profound discrimination against Indian Muslims.

Statistics and facts are a lot more potent than “opinions” from those who are wrapped up in sweet Tri-Colored flags.

Justice Rajindar Sachar says the following:

      • The Justice Rajindar Sachar Report which was presented to the Prime Minister on 17 November 2006 and was tabled in Parliament on 30 November 2006 has twelve chapters.
      • GENERAL: “The Muslim community exhibits deficits and deprivation in practically all dimensions of development ”
      • Most of the variables indicate that Muslim-OBCs are significantly deprived in comparison to Hindu-OBCs.
      • POLITICAL PARTICIPATION:.. participation is denied to Muslims through a variety of mechanisms. While it was pointed out that many names of Muslims were missing in the voter lists of a number of states, the Committee’s attention was also drawn to the issue of Muslim concentration
      • that Muslims are being systematically denied political participation. The Committee collected data from all over the country in the light of which the second allegation regarding reservation of constituencies was found to be correct.
      • LITERACY: In the field of literacy the Committee found that the rate among Muslims was far below the national average. The gap between Muslims and the general average is greater in urban areas and women.
      • The disparity in graduation attainment rates is widening since 1970s between Muslims and all other categories in both urban and rural areas. In premier colleges only one out of 25 under-graduate students and one out of 50 post-graduate students is a Muslim. Unemployment rate among Muslim graduates is the highest among all socio-religious communities. Only 3% of Muslim children among the school going age go to Madarsas. There is dearth of facilities for teaching Urdu. Lower enrolment in Urdu medium schools is due to limited availability of such schools at the elementary level.
      • WAGE RATES: Muslim regular workers get lower daily earnings in both public and private jobs compared to other socio-religious communities.
      • LOANS: The average amount of bank loan disbursed to the Muslims is 2/3 of the amount disbursed to other minorities. In some cases it is half.
      • INCOME: Substantially larger proportion of the Muslim households in urban areas are in the less than Rs.500 expenditure bracket.
      • EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION: The presence of Muslims has been found to be only 3% in the IAS, 1.8% in the IFS and 4% in the IPS. The share of Muslims in employment in various departments is abysmally low at all levels. Muslim community has a representation of only 4.5% in Indian Railways while 98.7% of them are positioned at lower levels. Representation of Muslims is very low in the Universities and in Banks. In no state does the representation of Muslims in the government departments match their population share. Their share in police constables is only 6%, in health 4.4%, in transport 6.5%.
