The Indian government has a penchant for purchasing equipment that does not work. If an electronic border security system worked the first ones to buy it would be the Israelis and the US-Mexican border control agencies. Obviously Raytheon has the Indians hoodwinked into buying this electronic system which will make India’s borders absolutely secure.

The security along Indias over 7,400-km long frontier with Pakistan and Bangladesh could soon go hi-tech, with Indian Border Security Force in talks with a leading United States firm to install an electronic monitoring system. BSF is in talks with U.S. security systems major Raytheon on possibilities of having an electronically operated, sensor-based border security system and also started exploring other international products on offer.
Raytheon is in process of understanding BSFs requirements and had preliminary talks with Indian security agency for providing border and critical infrastructure protection solutions, companys International Business Development vice president Gerald W Tobey said here Wednesday. We would like to use opportunity to provide best, tried and tested security system for BSFs role on Indias borders, Tobey said on sidelines of Farnborough International Air Show, where Raytheon is participating.
