AMERICAN MUSLIMS NEED A HARD WORKING CHARISMATIC ELOQUENT CREDIBLE VISIONARY LEADER WHO CAN GIVE MUSLIMS AMERICANS A VOICE THAT WILL BE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD..SOMEONE WHO CAN PUT MUSLIM ISSUES ON THE PLATFORM OF MAJOR PARTIES

King Midas could turn anything into gold. The Chairperson of the American Muslim Council can turn everything he touches into mud. By his presence Mr. Agha Saeed invites failure and by his absence he avoids success. If the Muslims of America had advertised to seek out a person who could hurt Muslims causes, they could not have found a worse person than Mr. Saeed. Every leadership quality present in a leader is absent in Mr. Saeed–compare to Obama or Clinton.

IGNORED IRRELEVANT AND NEVER RESEPECTED:Saeed is Ignored by his key constituency the Pakistani-Americans. He is invisible to the Muslims, ignored by the US administration, ridiculed by the polling organizations, unimportant to the African-Americans, despised by many Muslims, irrelevant to the US or Muslim press, tangential to other Muslim-American organizations and hated by leaders of other faiths in America. He is too radical for the left and too insane for the right. He is unacceptable to mmainstream America. Mr. Saeed is not elected from any constituency in the US and unelectable from any district in America. Mr. Saeed has been shunned by both the political parties and not embraced by the minor ones. He exudes negativityfor all those around him. Because of this privative disposition he is unable to influence anyone or any organization. Because of his self delusional attitude, Mr. Saeed is closed to all ideas. In short Mr. Saeed is an embarrassment to the Muslims of America.

You can fool all the people some of the time, some of the people all the time, but not all the people all the time.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN? America has produced leaders and made leaders out of simple people. America the sweet land of liberty, a beacon of freedom and the land of immigrants gives tremendous opportunity to many of its citizens. Most use the opportunity to provide selfless service to the community. Some abuse the opportunity to either work against her or to build their own careers and stroke their own egos. Imagine for a minute a dynamic sagacious and charismatic Muslim leader who would be invited to the Democratic National Convention and Republican think tanks. Imagine a Muslim leader who had the trust of the American president. Imagine a Muslim leader who could call out thousands of Muslims on a call. Imagine a Muslim Martin Luther King or a revived Malcom X. Mr. Saeed is none of these. He inspires no one and has the trust of few.

NO VISION. NO STRATEGY. ONLY SLOGANS: Mr. Saeed seems to think that he controls the 7-16 million Muslims and that the Muslim diaspora revolves around him. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mr. Saeed has no impact on the Muslm vote. Mr. Agha Saeed an immigrant Muslim born in Quetta Pakistan does not offer a vision or a bright future for the colorful rainbow of diversity that the US offers. Mr. Agha Saeed for the past decade has been working to build his own image. He has no vision, and no strategy. Simply repeating a decade old stump speech does not create opportunities for Muslim Americans.

MUSLIM ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD BE MORE POWERFUL THAN AIPAC:There are more Muslims in America and have deep roots in rich coffers. AIPAC was formed in 1969 and controls many aspects of American political life and certainly has a huge influence on American foreign policy. Why is it that Muslims in America have no voice. This void is because of a lack of leadership. Individual Muslims have achieved tremendous success in corporate America and also in American political life. Why is it that the sum of 7-16 million Muslims cannot produce intelligent and eloquent leaders like Mr. Obama or Mr. Jackson or Mr. Chavez. It is because some of the old failed stolid stalwarts like Mr. Saeed keep the new bodies out and do not have the brains or the appeal to be able to communicate to Americans of all sides.

Mr. Saeed and his type are an impediment to Muslim political aspirations.

MR. SAEEDS BLUNDERS HAVE NEGATIVELY IMPACTED MUSLIMS: So most Muslims would say “something is better than nothing“. This is not true. Supporting an incompetent non-leader impacts the entire organization and the entire Muslim community in the USA. Muslims of America worked hard to inculcate connections with Ms. Hillary Clinton which could have been instrumental in elevating Muslim issues in the Senate. Mr. Saeeds blunders led to the loss of Muslim influence in the Democratic party and this loss of support within the Clinton camp negatively impacts Muslims 8 years later. Because of his left Democratic leanings, the Republicans pretty much ignored the AMA. In 2000, controversial remarks by Saeed led Hillary Clinton to refund $50,000 in campaign donations from American Muslim Alliance (AMA) members. This led to the demise of the AMA which has now been resurrected as the AMC.

MR SAEED IS A LIGHTNING ROD FOR THOSE WHO HATE MUSLIMS OR ISLAM:Mr. Saeed is the wrong organization to lead the AMC or any Muslim organization. He has a contagious foot-in-mouth disease that impacts all those around him. His empty rhetoric impresses no one. His autocratic style brushes people the wrong way. His hubris makes people angry at him. Muslims need a leader that can crate the vision of a multi-religious America. Why is America shackled in the Judeo-Christian paradigm. Who among Muslims can redefine the USA as the Judeo-Christian-Muslim civilization? Certainly it is not the likes of Mr. Saeed. Mr. Saeed has no leadership skills, no charm and no personality. The obsequious, and servile politicians that simply cannot forward the Muslim perspective to the media are to blame for the lack of Muslim voices on American media. The radical Muslim leaders who spread negativity cannot and must not represent Islam or Muslims. Where are you Dr. Edward Said?

FIVE HOURS OF HOT AIR AND EGO MESSAGE. NOT ONE MENTION OF KASHMIR: Mr. Saeed has a lot of sympathy for Arabs who are incarcerated by the US. He cannot and does not ever speak on the incareration of thousands of Kashmiri Muslims by India. Mr. Saeed has never found the time to condemn the the occupation of Kashmir by India.

TV CHANNELS AND INTERVIEWS-NO SUPPORT FOR BLACK ISSUES: Mr. Saeed has not spoken about the issues that affect African Americans. African Americans make up about half the Muslim population. Mr. Saeed is silent. Where are the Selma marches? Why is he not walking shoulder to shoulder in the Million Man March? Why is he absent from Harlem issues? Why has be not spoken out from South Central Los Angeles? Why has be not participated in Anti-Iraq demonstrations in New York? Where was he when thousands were deproted from the US in the aftermath of 911? Whu hasn’t Mr. Saeed visited Iraq and Afghanistan? Why is he silent on the demolition of the mosque in Verona two weeks ago?

POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND ARROGANT DEMEANOR DOES NOT MAKE A LEADER:Mr. Saeed has very poor communication skills and total lack of charisma. He acts like a professor taking a class. His boring lectures reminds one of the tedius classes in high school which everyone tried to avoid. For someone who has spent more than three decades in the US, Mr. Saeed has a horrible accent. He mumbles his words and sometimes when he speaks in English one wonders if he is speaking in Urdu or Punjabi.

Mr. SAEEDS HOT AIR AND UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIMS: Mr. Saeed acts like an ignoramus with his wild unsubstantiated claims. Mr. Saeed teaches in California at a state school. He has no intellectual ideas or thoughts that would inspire or provoke his audience into responding to new paradigms. Mr. Saeed holds annual functions under the banner of the AMC in major US towns. The organization appears to flicker on the horizon for a few hours and then disappears into the darkness of oblivion. Nothing happens after the annual dinner and music party. elections are held in camera and there is no transparency of funds or on reach out programs. The same people or their friends get rotated in “elections.” The New Jersey chapter is run by a very able, efficient, competent and faithful financial manager. However other chapters are run by the same cronies where mediocrity rules. Each chapter holds an annual event and each chapter spends a few hundred Dollars annually. One cannot find the AMC in any major effort on any worthwhile activity.

MR. SAEED GRADUATED IN RHETORIC. EMPTY RHETORIC DESCRIBES HIS PERSONALITY:Mr. Saeed claims that each chapter of his organization has 30 member. Even if true, this computers to 3000 members. Part of the proceeds from AMC dinners/concerts are considered as membership fees. Mr. Agha Saeed who acts like an arrogant dictator claims that his AMC has 120 office in the USA. This is a false claim. Many challenge Mr. Saeed to send us the addresses of the 120 offices of the AMC. One will find almost all the addresses belong to other companies, or places of work of Muslims or home addresses of the friends of Mr. Saeed. AMC is mainly a Pakistani run organization and most members are of Pakistani origin. Most members are also members of other organizations like ISNA or ICNA.

MR. SAEED INHIBITS THE GROWTH OF MUSLIM INFLUENCE IN US POLITICS:Compare the AMC to the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) which can gather and galvanize more than 60,000 members in its annual events and does 24/7/365 work all across America. ISNA a non-political organization has publications, sponsors, newsletters, and think tanks that work with various other faiths.

A comparative analysis of AMC with CAIR (Council of American Islamic relations) will help people understand the lack of depth of the AMC. CAIR has more than 30 offices in the US, and can galvanize members and pressure on an organization with thousands of faxes, phone calls or even demonstration. The bane of many Neocons, and to the chagrin of many bigots, CAIR has clout and well respected around the world.

Neither organization formally supports the AMC.

Last year Mr. Saeedannounced the Muslim Task Force (MTF) with himself as the head. The MTF is as much a failure as Mr. Saeed’s other ventures designed to build him into “the defender of the faith” in American. Most Muslims in America have never heard of Mr. Agha Saeed and to Islam in America he is irrelevant.

SAEED DELUSIONS AND LIES HURT MUSLIMS:Mr. Saeed is either delusional or lies a lot. On previous occasions he has made the astonishing claim that the he was responsible for the defeat of Al Gore, because Al gore refused to meet the AMC (read Mr. Saeed). This year he made an even more amazing claim. Mr. Saeed claimed that he was the person that led the campaign to get the anti-Patriot Act bill passed by the California legislature. Rupee News has researched this issue and cannot find the name of Mr. Saeed in any leadership position on the issue. Mr. Saeed then made an even more incredible claim– that he led the charge by brining an alliance of Catholics and others to get the bill passed in California on a day when the Republicans were absent from the house on “holiday” .

On orders of Mr. Saeed his organization acknowledged the efforts fof a NJ Doctor for a lifetime of service. The Doctor amazed the entire crowd when when he proposed a PIC program for American Muslims–Production-immigration-Conversion. The honored Doctor then made the statement that the establishment was responsible for 911.

Obviously jarred by the comment Mr. Saeed quickly said the AMC position on 911 was that the AMC defended America physically, spiritually. What was amazing was that Mr. Saeed or his friends never repudiated the position of the Doctor.

A man is known by the company he keeps. Mr. Agha Saeed has very strange friends. Some of them are behind bars for terrorism and others have links to unsavory organizations. Mr. Saed has been criticized for his Anti-Semitic comments.

Mr. Saeed blows a lot of hot air on the Patriot Act but has had no affect on it. Muslims should spend their money on moveon.org or other organization and not waste their energy and efforts on Mr. Saeed.

The bottom line is that Mr. Saeed cannot and does not impact the elections. His claim to own a voter bank is totally false. Muslims do not vote because Mr. Saeed says so. Contrary to Mr. Saeed’s claims, Muslims vote their own minds, not from direction from a pulpit or from an insiginficant platform.

The only audience Mr. Agha Saeed finds is among a select group of Pakistani professionals–and that too because of personal relationship or because of the urgent desire of the Muslims seeking an American Saladdin who would give them some visibility on the American scene. When interviewed by mainstream Mr. Saeed usually goes ballistic with his wild claims about how much he affects.

AMERICAN MUSLIM ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD FOCUS IN THE US & THEN INFLUENCE FOREIGN LANDS: Despite tall claims Mr. Saeed failed to support Muslim candidates in the US. Other than the token person invited for its annual events, the AMC has failed to reach out to Arab, African or Asian Muslims or Muslim organizations. Mr. Saeeds hubris is the main obstacle to the growth of the AMC and other organizations that he gets involved in.Mr. Saeed is unable to do either. He publicly ridiculed Pakistani institutions which led to immense discontent among the members of the AMC. As a result the AMC lost its influence over seas and among tis own members.

INABILITY TO DUMP FAILED MEGALOMANIACS WILL MAKE MUSLIM VOICES IRRELEVANT: Has the AMC elected Mr. Saeed for life? The AMC needs to dump this man and move forward with a patriotic American Muslim citizen. The AMC should take its cue from ICNA.

AKO ABDUL SAMAD IS A GREAT CHOICE FOR THE AMC:A vibrant, dynamic, energetic, eloquent, soft spoken and charismatic leader has emerged among the Muslims of America. His name is Ako Abdul Samad who is part of the Iowa legislature. The AMC and other Muslim organizations should elect him to the highest office and use him as a bridge builder to success. Ako doesn’t come with the baggage of the old world and understands America much better than the current leadership of the AMC.
