Vanity Fair links Bill Clinton to actress Gina Gershon
In the last few years, aides have winced at repeated tabloid reports about Clinton’s episodic friendship and occasional dinners out with Belinda Stronach, a twice-divorced billionaire auto-parts heiress and member of the Canadian Parliament 20 years his junior, or at more recent high-end Hollywood dinner-party gossip that Clinton has been seen visiting with the actress Gina Gershon in California. There has been talk of a female friend in Chappaqua, a woman in a bar at a meeting of the Aspen Institute, and a public sighting of Clinton, Bing, and a ravishing entourage in a New York elevator that, a former Clinton aide told me, led a business leader who saw them to say: I don’t know what the guy was doing, but it was so clear that it was just no good.

A Vanity Fair Magazine article claimed Monday that Bill Clinton was spending too much time with other women on the road, including actress Gina Gershon.
The article, which was written by Todd S. Purdum, insists that Clinton’s philandering was a large distraction on the campaign trail for his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton.
Purdum, the husband of Clinton’s first press secretary Dee Dee Myers, claims that Clinton hangs with a group of aged misfits and his “cavernous narcissism” has been a detriment to Hillary’s campaign.
Purdum also bashed Clinton for not disclosing enough of his personal information nor financial information on the donors of the Clinton library.
The Vanity Fair article also said that Clinton had very frequent dinners with Belinda Stronach, visits with Gershon and several other women across the nation.

Reports from London have been documenting the long, increasingly intimate relationship between former President Clinton and Belinda Stronach. Stronach, who was ranked by Time Magazine two years ago as one of the 100 most powerful people on the planet, has been long involved with politics, or at least with political ambitions.
Stronach quit her job two years ago as CEO of a 10 billion dollar auto-parts empire in order to get more active in politics. Remarkably she won office as a conservative in Canada despite being pro-choice, in favor of gun control, and gay marriage. However, she eventually lost out to right-winger Stephen Harper.
Belinda and Bill have met several times over the last two years, and the frequency of their being sighted together sparked the media into wondering whether Bubba had a new “bunny.” Shockingly enough, Stronach’s own PR office has confirmed that the relationship has moved beyond the basic “friendship” level it began on, and bloomed into – true “Romance.”
The reports however have not been confirmed by the Clinton press office, and the main stream media in the U.S. has yet to pick up on the story, or at least speculate over it. Belinda, who is 40, wealthy, and infinitely more attractive that Hillary, could prove to be a sore spot for the New York Senator’s campaign as time wears on.
Hillary has to this point been able to have her unique past overlooked by the public, only referencing her marital troubles once, earlier this year. When asked whether she had the experience to deal with monsters like Osama Bin Laden, the Senator retorted sarcastically, “When in my past have I had to deal with bad, evil men?” The remarks received both applause, and laughter despite being exceptionally creepy, and Hillary later denied that they made reference to her husband.
Ultimately I suppose you could say: that this story hardly qualifies as news at all.
Bill Clinton and Gina Gershon?
A relationship between the former president and the “Bound” actress has been a Hollywood whisper for years. Now Vanity Fair has published a much-discussed story titled “The Comeback Id” that references their relationship. And it has some people wondering what — if anything — this story could do to his wife Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

According to Vanity Fair writer Todd Purdum, who is married to Clinton’s former White House press secretary, Dee Dee Myers, Gershon is one of several women — but so far, the only actress — who Clinton has been rumored to be seeing socially.
Purdum writes:

Bill Clinton has responded to the piece by calling the former New York Times L.A. bureau chief “sleazy,” “dishonest” and a “scumbag.” Click here to hear the former president talk about the piece on Huffington Post. In the clip, he tells supporters that the article is an attempt to boost Barack Obama and discredit his wife. His camp has also sent out a memo detailing the article’s errors and calling it “journalism of personal destruction at its worst.”
Purdum’s piece also contains revelations about Clinton’s relationship with Hollywood producer Steve Bing and Clinton’s friendship with entrepreneur Ron Burkle. His business relationship with billionaire Burkle, says Purdum, is Clinton’s largest source of income after books and speeches, about $15 million.
Burkle, if you recall, played host to that historic star-studded Hollywood pre-Oscar party for Giorgio Armani in 2007. Guests included George Clooney, Helen Mirren, Katie Holmes and Cate Blanchett.
