   This is all Bollywood nonsense! F-16′s in the early 70′s?! Come to think of it, maybe the entire world is a gigantic bollywood song!

   (for more solid information on Kargil, there is an excellent thesis paper on the net somewhere, written at one of the U.S. war colleges).

   Did you really mean that pakistan pulled out itself? Dont you want to accept the fact that pakistanis were flushed out from peak after peak. And in your own words …reaching the top of these peaks were a herculean task.. and still Indian Army did it while pakistanis were sitting on top of these peaks at advantageous positions with all ammunition. Nawaj Sarif went to US to save further humiliation to his nation and army. Pakistani Army didnt even came forward to accept its fallen soldiers in the war from Indian captured areas. Indian Army did the last rites, in contrast to what the Paki army did to indian soldiers(they were killed after torturing, body parts cut-off !!! how inhuman?) who were patrolling the area at the beginning of kargil fiasco…

   So at the end of kargil, what did Pakistan got? Shame, humiliation and a price for its mis adventurism. Dont do it again. If Indians would have deployed its Navy/AirForce, pakistan would have been finished by now. Just remember 1971 when your port at karachi was destroyed by indian navy and india took 90,000 PoW in the war… haha. Can you believe that? This time whole pakistan would have been PoW.. maybe including you.

   The kargil conflict happened due to pakistani inrusion in the indian side of the kashmir. The pakistan took indian miliary eshtablishment on surprise,but pakistani planners miscalculated indian decisive response, the pak army chief GEN: Parvez Musharraf did this misadventure wash the shame of 1971 pakistan miliartry huge surrender(90.000 POW) to force india to vacate siachen.Pakistan wanted to open kashmir issue under nuclear umbrella at that time but indian military and political machienery splashed cold water on the evil intentions of pakistan’s evil designs by not crossing the LOC , from indian side side the message was clear to intruders and their planners “retreat or indian army will kick u” india used bofors guns which proved very effective to pound the visible sangars of intruders and indian airforce done sorties to hit the supplies to the intruders.

   As the war was going totally on indian side of LOC the pakistanis were not able to escalate the tension further, meanwhile all the 3 wings of indian miliatary was put on high alert to give fittig reply to any pakistani major attack. One after another indian army backed with indian airforce was winning the peaks, by the time nawaz sharif went to Washinton india already captured almost 75% to 80% of intruded area. The whole kargil episode was ended with humiliation for pakistan army eshtablishment after 1971 war.

   India gave safe passage to trapped pakistani soldiers because indian army surrounded them in a “U” shaped area as it was confirmed from satellite footages meanwhile pakistani fatalities in this war was much heavier than india, pakistan loose appoximately 4000 soldiers while indian fatalities were almost 567 soldiers. The cause of this heavy casualty for pak army was due the fact that india used very heavy artillery in that war.

   Pakistan raises Kashmir issue infront of international community bcoz pakistani eshtablishment want to distract the attention of pakistani ppl from the separatist movement going in Balochistan which is much more intense than saparatist movement going in kashmir. Balochistan is almost 50% area of pakistan and pakistan has more reason to worry about its national integrety than india.

   I am an indian muslim and 250 million indian muslims will not let religion to divide india again, if pakistan wants kashmir on religion basis let me tell them india has far more muslims than the so called islamic republic of pakistan.

   @Slumdog Shiraz: 250 millions muslims in the Land of gays which makes it the largest muslim country in the world. Wow!!!!!!!! You guys are muslim only by name, We will destroy you along with your hindu masters at the same time. All of you are slumdogs who r making a mockery of islam by naming yourselves with islamic names but marry hindu women and celebrate hindu festivals.
   Pakistan still holds few peaks it captured, it was bharat who went begging to washington to stop war, It was bharat which asked the help of israel, south africa, sweden and many more. Slumdog azad couldn’t prevent the independence of Pakistan neither will you be able to stop the destruction of bharat which has already started. Pakistan always had more muslims than bharat except for a decade btw 71&81. Even bangladesh has more muslims than slumdogBharat.
   One thing i never understand why do slumdogs feel so proud about the false number of muslims in bharat.
   Hindus treats muslim worse than street dogs but still you slumdogs want to stay with bharat.
