It is atrocious that the dictator appointed his pet in a position of power in the Punjab. How dare he? Does he not have any morals?Doesn’t the appointee have any morality? This reminds us of Ranjit Singh’s Sikha Shahi when Ranjit Singh did what he wanted. How could he accept the position offered to him by a despised dictator who had usurped power, not through the ballot, but through the barrel of the gun.

This act is specially repugnant because the nefarious person appointed has questionable loyalty to democracy and has supported martial Law. This person is unknown to Pakistanis. His financial dealings have been repeatedly questioned in the courts. What is most despicable about this act is that the person who has been appointed does not have a following in the Punjab. It is nonsensical for the people to accept this sort of a figure as an executive in the Punjab. The Punjabis are not stupid. This person forced down their throat will not stand.
When President Zia-ul Haq the dictator appointed Mr. Nawaz Sharif as Chief Minsiter of Punjab, all these questions were asked. Now the shoe is in the other foot!
