The Twenty Nos of Imran Khan

Greatness can come in different ways. Some are born with it, some work for and some have greatness thrust upon them

Politicians in America join an existing party and then work within the system to rise to the top.

There are several types of politicians. There are consensus builder like the charismatic Zulifiqar Ali Bhutto who gathered a band of merry men, some loyal, some brilliants and some of them who came along for the ride. Then there are constructed politicians like Mr. Air Marshall Khan who was constructed by the ISI-CIA to lead the PNA agasint Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Then there are politicians like Nawaz Shairf who had greatness thrust upon them by a despot when he was appointed the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Eba Eban in a totally different situation once said “they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity”. Can the same can be said about Mr. Imran Khan? Retd Air Marshall Asghar Khan’s impact on Pakistani politics was minimal. He is a loner like Air Marshall Asghar Khan, and has not been able to build a band of merry men around him. He has not had greatness thrust upon him by a tin pot dictator and he has been unable to work for it. All he has is nuisance value which he uses every time a microphone is thrust in front of his face.

1) No! I cannot work with anyone and have to have my own space (dairh eenth kee masjid)
2) No! I cannot trust the Jamaat e Islami after what their youth group did to me.
3) No! I will not join and work within the PPP.
4) No! I cannot join the PML (N) and work with them.
5) No! I will not join the PML (Q) and work with them.
6) No! I will not join the government of Pervez Musharraf.
7) No! I will not “bury the hatchet” make peace with my perceived enemies in the MQM
8) No! I will not participate in the elections.
9) No! I will not join the interim government to ensure a safe environment.
10) No! I will not work towards a Government of “National Unity” to build Pakistan.
11) No! I will not work with the Americans in a transition plan for Democracy.
12) No! I will not accept the PCO or the new establishment. I am a purest so I want to turn the clock and go back to 1973
13) No! I will not accept Prevez Musharraf as President or the newly elected Prime Minster of Pakistan that will take office after Feb. 2008.
14) No! I cannot be in Pakistan, I have to visit Bombay in the most critical juncture of the post-assassination climate.
15) No! I will not think like a Pakistani, I will continue to play the ethnic card.
16) No! As a member of the National Assembly of Paksitan, I did not create any legislation when I was the lone member of my party the Tehrik e Insaaf.
17) No! I do not want to represent the people of Mianwali so that they have an able proponent of their sorrows in parliament.
18) No! I will not become a member of the National Assembly or the Senate of Pakistan, I will run my solo ship.
19) No! I am not a politicians, I am the conscience of Pakistan. Forget about my personal stuff, my conscience does not pinch me on those things.
20) No I will not divulge the personal details of my personal issues with regard to my continued relationship with Aunt Jemima or other ladies..

A man rises to his highest level of incompetence!
