MR. AZHAR IS THE WRONG PERSON FOR THE JOB: Mr. Azhar is not the right person for the job of an anchor. He does not believe in Paksitan. He should be sacked immediately. It is amazing that real journalists like Dr. Shahid Mahmud and Hamid Meer are off the screen while this person is still getting screen time. Mr. Azhar’s  rehashed prolix putrid twaddle fails to illuminate the confusing deluge of eerily inept and counter-intuitive claptrap masquerading as fact in the clumsily stage-managed “global war on terror“. We have repeatedly written to Mr. Shereryar but he cannot change his colors. He blames Pakistan and Muslims first. Mr. Azhar displays only superficial knowledge about Pakistan, totally lacks any imperious intellect of the nuances of the complex political issues, is totally biased, has serious errors in his philosophy and this is typical of the ant-Pakistan hallucinating delirium so pervasive in the minds of the worst columnists like Mr. Azhar.He can see nothing good in Pakistani dystopia and everything right with the Indian utopia. He is not a Pakistan well-wisher and should not be on ARY One World TV. Like we informed him before —if we wanted to indulge in self-flagellation we would watch “Foxy” TV or read the Neocon garbage.

Mr. Azhar’s nauseating fixation upon and paranoid conspiratorial delusions about Pakistan are a transparent attempt to justify the murderous rampage, carnage and barbarism faced by West Asia.

MR. AZHAR HAS LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE HISTORY OF PAKISTAN OR THE PAKISTAN IDEOLOGY: Mr. Azhar is weak in Pakistani history and has no clue about “Why we created Pakistan”, the Two Nation Theory or the Pakistan ideology.

MR. AZHAR WORSHIPS THE WRONG HEROES: Mr. Shaharyar’s psychopathic obsequies behavior during an interview Mr. Tejpal was nauseating and is part of a pattern. He had little knowledge about Anudulusia and invited the wrong author to talk about it. He should have invited Maria Rosa Menocal. Mr. Azhar had little knowledge about Kashmir and did not allow the President of Azad Kashmir to discuss the issues with the article of accession. He began criticising Pakistan. Why does Mr. Azhar keep on apologizing for being Pakistani.  

OFF TOPIC DISCUSSIONS: Total incompetence

Tejpal Interview should have been about the massacre of 3000 innocent Muslims in Gujarat: Mr. Tejpal’s claim to fame as head of Tehelka is his expose of Mr. Modi the CHief Minister of Gujrat who has now been taped sanctioning the murder of Muslims. One of the Muslim MPs whose house was surrounded called Mr. Modi on the phone and apparently Mr. Modi informed him that ” too tow gaya” and he could not do anything about the mob who later cut off his hands and then killed him and and burned his home.

Every time Mr. Tejpal started talking about the massacre of Indian Muslims, Mr. Azhar began criticizing Pakistan. It was disgusting. This subservient “apology of a ‘man’ ” threw softballs  to Mr. Tejpal and began kowtowing to the Gandhian philosophy. It was was disgusting to hear “India is a miracle of the 20th century” and how great the “vision” for India was and how great a leader Nehru was. I guess the great vision of Patel included “no Pakistan.” Really? I thought you were going to talk about the massacre of 3000 Muslims not a eulogy of the stratfied penury infested sorry conglameration of languages called a “country.”

When someone out there challenges “the idea of Pakistan” and has reverence for “Gandhijee” (Gandhi would be OK!….Tejpal called him Jinnah not “Quaid-e-Azam”) and his ideas of “Akhand Bharat” Mr. Azhar agreed with him and did not challenge him. This is a violation of the “code of conduct.” Mr. Azhar has such reverence for those across the border that he is unable to see the external interference in Pakistan and harps on the Neocon line of assigning collective guilt to all Muslims–all Muslim.

MR. AZHAR’S BELIEF IN THE NEOCON PHILOSOPHY IS INEXCUSIBLE: Mr.Sheheryar offers the same stale, retrograde fare that’s been used by Western state, semi-state or Murdock owned networks for decades. The Western media’s news leads with the daily antics of the President and insignificant machinations of the legislature followed by celebrity and “human interest” stories and gossip. The Same hackneyed talking heads appear to disparage some other enemy Eurosia or Oceania or Islam or Pakistan.

MR. AZHAR BELIEVES IN ENEMIES OF PAKISTAN: Mr. Azhar is impressed by the wrong media sources. A section of the British and American media still act like proselytizing missionaries determined to force their views on far flung countries. As the Nation commercials depict –our obsequies press does not have the temerity to stand up to the lobbies. Who has the impudence to show a backbone against those that want perpetual mimetic warfare? The sickly scent of defeat wafting over the Neocon crusade has permeated into the fabric of American airwaves emaciating our freedoms. The resurrection of the Socratic injunctions and Palto’s lectures against democratic (yes, strange but true) ideals and these series of Peloponnesian wars are debasing our flag, and almost destroying the free republic and the ideals for which it stands. Far far away from the apocryphal atoll of sanity and our beloved American Camelot is the acquiescent press the atrophying legislative and a subservient judicial branch. Unless and until our media drops the Neocon jargon it will never be able to unshackle itself from our current Orwellian nightmare.

Mr. Azhar should know that no religion sanctions murder and mayhem. Neither Judaism, nor Christianity nor Islam. There is no connection between the IRA and Kashmir. The internecine fratricidal civil war in Northern Ireland is based on religious fervor. Kashmir is the unfinished business of British Colonialism that created India and Pakistan based upon a constitutional referendum. Kashmir remains a “disputed territory” according to both India and Pakistan and is logged in the list of unresolved issues in the United Nations. The issue is complex and cannot be solved by equating it with the IRA or any other issue in the world. Connecting individual movements in diverse cultures and races has no meaning to anyone except to drive fear in the harts of good Americans.

It is pedagogical to remember and it doesn’t take a CSI pathologist to unearth the fact that the real intention of this well orchestrated and planned smear campaign is to couple “Islam” with a powerful soubriquet, devoid of any analytical content, these icons conjure up images of a universally detested past.

ASSIGNING COLLECTIVE GUILT TO ALL MUSLIMS BECAUSE OF THE ACTS OF A FEW:

There is no religion called Islamism–this is a Neocon concoction to demonize one of the greatest religions of the world and obfuscate the differences between Islam and the foreign policy failures of the United States and other countries. We reject jargon which conjugates Quranic words and uses them for nefarious purposes. The common man cannot differentiate between Islamic and “Islamist.” That is the real purpose of creating these words. We cringe each time we see Islam being demonized

As patriotic American Muslims we refuse to accept foster parentage of Neocon failures in Afghanistan and Iraq in perpetuating “perpetual warfare”.

Bin Laden and the Talibaan were created by the CIA to defeat the USSR and the remnants of the communist regimes in Afghanistan. Syed Qutub, the founder of “Islamic Brotherhood” was supported by the USA against the Socialist pro-Moscow Gamal Nasir. Similarly the Hamas was created by Sharon to counterbalance the PLO which was claiming to be the sole representative of the Palestinians. In supporting these organizations, the USA has created Frankenstein monsters that crated blowback not only for America, Muslims, but the entire planet.

WHY DOES MR. AZHAR ALWAYS BLAME PAKISTANIS FIRST? We are all suffering from terror. Mr. Azhar interrupted Mr. Tejpal to start discusisn his favorite trope “Blame Muslims and Paksitanis” first. It was amazing to see Mr. Azhar mention how magnanimous India was to Muslims. This on a show massacre of Muslims. Let me hold myself before my Blood Pressure blows up. A moderte Muslim is not one who does not beleive in Islam and Pakistan and beleives in Christianity.

MR. AZHAR DOES NOT KNOW THE FACTS ABOUT MUSLIMS: Every major Muslim organization in the world, from the OIC to the Arab League to SAARC has condemned terrorism. Additionally, every Muslim head of state, from Sukarnoputri of Indonesia, to Khaleda Zia of Bangladesh to President Musharraf of Pakistan to Hasni Mubarak of Egypt all condemned terrorism. Every mosque in the USA, and every Muslim leader from APPNA, to MSA, to CAIR to Muslim Task Force to ISNA, to ICNA to AADC condemned the attacks on 911 as well as all terrorism. Your article is disingenuous in not reflecting facts. A simple search on “Muslims condemns terrorism” or Muslims condemn 911 will show you thousands of hits, with names and dates. 

MR. AZHAR’S VOCABULARY IS ANTI-PAKISTAN: Mr. Azhar, you should stop using the words created by the enemies of Islam, and please stop parroting the Neocon rhetoric. Have you read “Orientalism”?  Your credulousness  and anachronistic behaviour as an archetypal Orientalist WOG (Westernized Oriental Gentleman created by the British…who did the bad deeds for the British but were local) and Neocon apparatchik is beyond comment. You should not be on any Pakistani channel.

Fascism feeds on fear. Hitler’s Reichmarshall Hermann Goering declared that “people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and attack the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.”
Question for discussion, ladies and gentlemen: How does this apply here? Are the myriad threats the movement has used to frighten all who will listen (weapons of mass destruction, mushroom clouds over New York, Muslims in general, liberal college professors, homosexuals) working to get people to do the bidding of leaders in this country?

Fascism also feeds on ignorance. “Good Germans” were truly persuaded that Jews, Slavs and Bolsheviks threatened them in 1939. Fascism is inherently anti-intellectual, deploying emotions (national pride, resentment at “outsiders,” feelings of injury, millenarian hope) and targeting prominently among internal enemies those who challenge its self-validating myths. Mr. Azhar is spreading ignorance.

Anti-Semitism is evil and has to be stamped out from this planet. It first cousin Islamphobia is now running rampant and this form of anti-Semitism also has to be stamped out. Mr. Azhar surely is not helping anyone.

By the way, Mr. Azhar, why do you speak in English? Who are you trying to impress? We are not impressed by your accent. It is pathetic. Speak in Urdu. 

IGNORANT OR A NEOCONSERVATIVE–YOU SHOULD RESIGN: Mr. Azhar, the best case scenario is that you are ill informed or simply do not know the facts. The worst case scenario is that you beleive in the Neocon garbage doled out by the media. Either way this job is above your highest level of incompetence. If your heart is in the right place and you have any iota of credability you should immediately resign.
