NEW YORK| Rupee News| December 28th, 2007|Moin Ansari: Political assassinations, judicial murders, military takeover, and manipulated coup de etats by unelected leaders are seminal events in the history of any nation. The asassination of Benazir Bhutto is all the more traumatic for Pakistanis and others because “nothing seems like what it is”. Any murder is investigated on the concept of motive, opportunity and benifits from the murder. The same criteria has to be applied to the death of Benazir Bhutto. The beneficiaries of the death of Benazir Bhutto are not those who were blamed initially for her death.

On Jan 23rd, The Peoples Daily and Tehran Times clearly blamed outside interference in Pakistan. On Jan 9th, The New York times confirmed the “CIA” coverts operations in Pakistan. On Feb 9th, 2008, Mr. Hamid Gul, Pakistan’s Master spy validated the story about the CIAs involvement in the assassination.

  1. SiachenThe Pakistani position is marked in redMr. Nawaz Sharif gained notoriety during the reign of General Zia and was Chief Minister of the Punjab. When India occupied Siachin in 1983 he was in power. There was a muted reposnse from Mr. Sharif. At the time Pakistan could have forced an Indian withdrawl based on the Afghan war.
  2. Nawaz SharifMr. Sharif proposed a Lahore Declaration based on the Simla agreement. Mr. Sharif also wanted to make the Pakistani currency common with the India currency. Pakistanis and the Pakistan Army personnel do not want to hear the word “Simla” which was coerced and signed under duress.
  3. January 26th is a dark day for Kashmiris. It is remembered as “Youm-e-Siyah” in Kashmir. Article 370 of the Indian constitution absorbed kashmir on the basis of the forged Article of Accession which was never presented to Pakistan or the United NationsKargil belonged to Pakistan before 1971. The Pakistan Army planned a counterattack in Kargil and captured 300 peaks. Mr. Nawaz Sharif ran to Washington and signed a surrender document in Washington really antagonizing the army which had requested 2 more weeks to sanctify the “re-conquista” of Kargil.

  5. KhalistanMr. Ahtizaz Ahsan (infamous in Pakistan for handing over the list of Sikh rebels to Rajiv Gandhi and extinguishing the East Punjab insurgency) starts the lawyers movement without the total assent of Benazir Bhutto who tolerates it.

The above five points are responsible for the vandetta wars between the Sahrif clan and the army. Both sides routinely publish “proof” on how evil the other clan is.
