REBUTTAL TO THE NY TIMES ON WAGING WAR AGAINST PAKISTAN:

What has happened Los Angeles Times– to the a world class newspaper which is now fanning the flames for another unprovoked war–stooping to the level of the Washington Post and other tabloids. It was horrible to see Obama use Al-Qaeda and Neocon logic to attack Pakistan. The thugs and murderers use the same logic to attack the USA. They also do not recognize the sovereignty of the USA and do not differentiate between combatants, friend’s allies and civilians. All is fair game to them. The USSR used the same logic to occupy Afghanistan. 

THERE WOULD RETALIATION AGAINST AGRESSION:Your editorial attempts to obfuscate the difference between cooperation and aggression. Pakistani authorities cooperating with the US to find criminals is totally different than attacking Pakistanis inside Pakistani territory. An attack on Pakistani territory would be considered aggression by all Pakistanis and would be counterproductive. Contempt for allies and other countries conjures up memories of “the ugly American”. Pakistani President Ayub Khan wrote a book about these racist attitudes called “Friends Not Master”. “The little brown boys” are not indentured servants of anyone. Today Pakistan is a nuclear state with intercontinental missiles and a geo-strategic position that is important to the world. All Pakistanis will rally against the aggression, and the elimination of friend and foe will be harmful to US and Pakistani interests. Pakistan has been an American ally since 1947 (founding member of SEATO & CENTO) and is a Non-NATO ally. 1000 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in operations against Al-Qaeda. 2 million Pakistanis and Afghans died fighting the USSR. The USA is a beacon of freedom and should bolster Pakistan with a “Marshall plan for Pakistan”
